I have an idea, I don't know if it has been done before and i don't want to look for it either. Have you ever tryed to get a long distance combo to frag someone, but you comboed to early? Here is an idea for you, Have some kind of targeting system (when you aim at some one, kindof like a roll over effect, it will have like an aura or circle around the target.), and when you shoot the shock ball out it will count down the number of feet from your target beside the ball. So if you shoot the ball from 200 feet away, it will count down from 200 to 0. When it reaches 0 it would be parallel with your target. That could help people get a better idea at where there ball is at. This is not like an aim bot where it will automaticly hit the ball, its just something that tells how far the shock ball is from the target.

Sounds fun. Some would say "unbalanced" or "O god more combo whores" but might work well in an ubering-up weapon pack. Sounds great.
Suppose someone is making a lift jump, and you want to combo them on the way down. How is the distance display to know when the core will be lined up? And this is just an extreme example. Most shock cores are fired at walls and floors rather than people. How does the display tell what the target is going to be?

Well my idea was that when you move your crosshair over a player or bot, it would reconize that you have targeted them. It would put a circle around them, only for you to see though. Then when you fire the shock ball towards your target, it would have the counter beside the ball it self. If you moved your crosshair off the target, it wouldn't reconize that player as a target. Therefore it wouldn't have a counter beside the ball. I imagined it to only target players and bots.

If you target the person then aim down, he won't be targeted anymore. But also, I don't think you would try to combo someone from 200ft away as they are falling from a lift jump. :D
