Hi, i have decided to make a different kind of map from the ones i usually do (indoor things) and i want to make one that is like outside and has 2 bases at each side? Would i start to do this by using the terrain tool or something?

I would start buy making a rough drawing of what I want to make. Then deciding how I should start from there. (your best bet is prob starting with the terrain though. ;) )

I know what i want to make, but i was just wonder how i would put the base there. Like would i create the cube (if it was a cube) and then like add it and then take out the rest to make it?

just make a terrain about the right horizontal size that you want, and then keep changing height of areas and different textures until you end up with exactly what you are looking for. No need testing terrain editing when you can just learn by creating what you want.

Here are two tutorials on building terrains. Read the top one first, then move onto the second.
