Types of grenades

Obviously we all saw the grenade being thrown when Cliffy demostrated in the demo via E3.

Do you think they'll have no only frag types, but smoke grenades?

Or maybe a new type of explosive? That'd be cool.

Since it's a tactical shooter, I wouldn't be surprised if they put in a smoke grenade, I'd love it too. And maybe something like a flashbang but not THAT bright, just bright enough to scare off locusts.

And I bet the smoke effects would look dazzling in Gears. :eek:

I'm not to sure about the smoke grenades. From the looks of the E3 demo, one of the main point I got was the Main character Marcus Fenix was more prone to shooting and destroying rather than trying to run from the target.

Gears of War smoke > Call of Duty 2 smoke

never understood why people made such a big deal about Call of Duty 2's graphics. They werent really that good. IMO

I hope they innovate the grenade in this game. I like smoke grenades but they are only good if your in trouble or for flanking. But i have full confidence they will make this game the best it could be.

Hopefully they'll be tons of differnet grenades, like most of you said, Smoke Grenades but what would be totally awesome would be if they had grenades that shot out spikes or some sort of acid hehe, come on people get creative ^_^

I agree ChaosKnight. A spike exploding grenade would rock in this game.

I like how the grenades are on a chain for presice aiming (arc). In other games it is frustrating when the grenade wont go where you want it!

My favourite weapons in games are the pistols and the.....grenades.
So i usually spend most of my time perfecting them,
in halo 2 i am a good pistol'er and grenadier.

So in GOW im hoping for a variety of Grenades that i can practise and kill with.
