Does anybody else realize that you can't turn off the sensitivity buttons on this thing? I've done searches and it seems nobody has any complaints. And I think that's odd because this problem is such a huge annoyance to me. Here's what I've found out after playing around with the settings and testing them in UT.

1. Changing the sensitivity buttons (+/-) to "Do nothing" does nothing. They still change the sensitivity. No matter what you set them to.

-This begs the question. Why do they give you options to change the buttons to if you can't actually change the buttons functions?

2. Taking UT2004.exe out of the recognized games does nothing.

-Supposedly it's supposed to turn off on the fly sensitivity. "When you remove a game from the list, standard mouse settings apply when you play that game, and you can't change mouse pointer sensitivity on-the-fly" ...eh, nope.

3. Turning off whatever dpi settings you don't want the mouse to change to does nothing.

-This was no surprise to me. Because even if you change the sensitivity using the sensitivity buttons in Windows it changes nothing. And by that I mean the dial of the dpi does not change. Nothing changes in mouse settings when you click the sensitivity buttons, yet the actual sensitivity of the mouse changes.

So are we supposed to guess what dpi it goes to when the sensitivity changes? One might think you could deduct it. If you have 3 settings available. Say the default, 1600, 800, & 400. And you press the increase sensitivity button 3 times you should be at 1600. And if you pressed the decrease button 1 time after that you would be at 800. Simple. Yet, what do we do when the only setting set available is 1600 and when we press the increase the sensitivity button it increases and when we press the decrease sensitivity it decreases?! It wouldn't be such a mystery if we could go back into the settings and see what settings it adjusted, but it doesn't actually adjust anything that can be seen!!?!1 :bulb:

How do I turn this on-the-fly **** off? please help.

I haven't managed to disable the sensitvity bit, but my work around was 2 settings, 1600 & 1550. Works well enough for me, even if U hit the button in game by accident.

I've hit it once accidentally rolling forward on the mouse wheel. Though my problem with it really isn't a matter of accidentally hitting the buttons in-game. It's not knowing what setting I'm on. It just doesn't tell you. It's not like I can't figure it out of course. But it has me paranoid every time I go into the game. Am I off because my sensitivity is different? Or because I'm not warmed up yet?

I can remember the on-the-fly adjustability of the Razer Boomslang mouse. It actually displayed it on screen while you adjusted it. You had to hold down a button in order to change it. I just hate the ergonomics of the diamondback though. I'll just wait for better drivers I guess.

Seems odd you want it to not work.

I actualy wanted it to work and it wouldn't. It's very easy to disable it, there drivers are so horrible all you have to do is ctrl + alt + delete, close up the setpoint and logitech hardware .exe's.. And boom, the buttons don't work. Just like that, more memory for UT2004 too =)

Also go to HKLM/Software/MS/Windows/Current Version/Run and delete the startup keys.

Note tho there is an option for notification of when you change the dpi in the game setting page.. Check that. Now that won't work yet.. You now gota go into start - control panel - sounds and set up sounds for the events.. The drivers do include the sounds, there just so buggy they dont set them up.

Also close/uninstall "logitec desktop manager". It's actualy spyware: Backweb.. blah.

I uninstalled the drivers completely, the built in dpi keys work that way and no bull**** drivers.

The lack of per-game button settings is very dissapoiting however.
