For the sake of curiosity, why would you use another program?

3Dbuzz.com

I know the DVD version includes Video Training Modules. The Editor's Choice edition might also come with Video Training Modules, but I'm not certain about that.

Hi,

I have the DVD UT2004 but no VTM's are with it.

If you want the best tutorial then buy the 'Mastering Unreal Technology' book from amazon (cost me 36GBP from a local booksellers in UK but is 25USD in USA?!...)

It covers UNRed2.0 and 3.0 in great detail...also the maya modeling/static mesh modeling...CD with it ..all sorts.

I say this because 3.0 tuts are difficult to find online and you end up with a 2.0 tut.. Wiki....no good.....3DBuzz..welllll....Angel_Mapper had some good ones but his tutorial site is no-more.

I have Unreal Tournament 2004 2 Disc DVD Edition.

I just assumed the DVD version of UT2004 was released as a 2 disc edition.

No, I have a single retail DVD UT2004 game.

Are the VTM's good? If so do you know where I can download the VTM's?

Are they good? They are better than good, they're freaking awesome.

If it weren't for those VTM's I wouldn't even have opened the editor, let alone create maps. There just isn't a better way to learn level editing with UnrealEd than working along with the videos. :)

At one point, the VTMs could be downloaded from 3dbuzz.com, but I don't now if you still can.

I've been to 3Dbuzz and I can't seem to find what you are talking about....everything else but not what was asked for in the first place. What did you do to get to where the info is???

thanks

- You just click on the Downloads link at the top of the page.

- Then a page with "3D Buzz Download System - PLEASE READ!" will be displayed. Goto the bottom of that page and click "I agree that I have read the above."

- Clink on the Unreal Technology link.

However, you may have to login before you can do this. So you will actually need to register before you can download any files.
