I just bought the Editors Choice UT2004 DVD and read the sticky thread at the top of the forum but wanted to get a clarification on a couple of things.
When installing from the DVD I opted not to install the ECE Mods because most of them have newer versions so I figured I'd just get the ones I want. So that content didn't get installed.
(1)I got the 3355 patch and installed it. I assumed I didn't need the previous patches and that 3355 would bring my ECE DVD version up to date.
(2)I assume I don't need the editor's choice edition file (ece-bonuspack1-1)listed under the "Official" section? I figure that is for people without the ECE DVD or CD set and that my copy of the DVD already did these files?
(3)I downloaded the two ONS files with no problems.
(4) I assume I "need" all 7 of the Unofficial files in the next section? I realize they are not required but I wanted to make sure they are not on the DVD I just installed already and therefore a waste of time. I'd like to avoid having the servers push that stuff when I try to connect.
Thanks in advance for the clarification. These updated sets of UT are nice but still a tad blurry as to what all you get in your 5GB worth of data and what you'll still need.
