UT 2007 ...

i fear for the love of GOD that epic/atari won't screw up like they did on ut 2k3 and 2k4. vehicles? WTF ! the characters are so pathetically big and bulky it makes me want to puke.

i play ut to this day because ut2k3 and 2k4 are such substandard games it makes me want to throw a brick in my monitor and then leave the house and set it on fire.

if my word means anything, make the characters like they were in the original UT. and take off excessive animation on weapons. half the time i get distracted getting depth-perception due to overly exaggerated weapons and special effects.

please please please ... don't mess the EFF up this time :sour:

LOL I will enjoy it to watching you do this :haha:

But hey if you really wanted someone to heard you should post here :)

http://forums.epicgames.com/General_Discussion/b10667/

UT ENVY has nothing to do with atari.

Sad... so sad... :(

But I'd like to make a few points:

1) Atari have nothing to do with UT2007
2) your word means just as much as anyone else's (which, unfortunately for you, isn't much)

So there... :o

EDIT: Oh, and you might wanna see this (http://www.beyondunreal.com/main/future/ut2007.php) page. There, you'll find out that they not only keep Onslaught in the game, but they also plan to add another gametype called 'Conquest', which, I suppose, will have vehicles as well.

But don't worry, Quake 4 will be here before too long.

You may be entitled to your opinion, but you're gonna get pounded for this one

UT was great

UT2k3 was AMAZING

and UT2k4 was SUPERB (read perfect)

so UT(whatever) will be whatever it will be

my 2 cents

It is NOT perfect. But IMHO the best installment of the franchise yet (haven'T played UC2 yet, but I heard that it is horribly slow compared to the UT series)

UT2K4 > *

Just because you suck at it and think UT is great because anyone can be a pro at the noobed down game doesnt mean that they should make baby games instead

UT was good but if we are talking from a skill perspective ut2k4 > ut, its the better game imo but not just for that.

I play Pong to this day because all other games are substandard.

i don't play UT99 for the graphics i play it as its a more intense upclose battle than fairys prancing 30ft through the air :(
i just much prefer the reduced movement and stronger weapons really.

I've liked all 3 versions.

I really believe some want Epic to reissue the same exact game over and over with different maps.

Luckily more intelligent heads prevail on that one...

When I want the Unreal experience I play Unreal.

When I want the UT2004 experience I play UT2004.

UT2003 is not installed anymore because, well, UT2004 basically includes it.

I'm a happy camper.

fixed

Some people prefer a richer movement and more aiming and prediction.
In terms of gameplay: UT2004 > UT
On all other points UT wins, but generally UT2004 gameplay > UT gameplay.

N.B: UT2003 was UT2004-pay-to-play beta, so it doesn't count. :p

I've played all more than you, and UT2k4, I'm afraid, just didn't
work out. It is now under UT in terms of players per month. UT
is 6 years old!!

I really loved the news of the new platform and it's good to finally
have developers on my side when I say UT2003-2004 had too little
focus on gameplay.

Darn those fancy graphics and vehicular combat you kids have today! Back in my day, I had to WALK to my powernode - and there weren't powernodes back then, so we had to PRETEND to walk to the powernode. And it was uphill both ways!

ut2k4 is great. Keep up the good work.

I think it always takes time to get used to a new game especially when some people push the game engine to the extremes, it seems some people just went in, saw it was different from what they loved, and hated it.

I never played the original but fired it up after getting into 2k3 and 2k4 and found it unplayable - I think it just goes to show that people like what they played 1st.

Will be interesting to see what the transition to 2k7 will be like for the people who love 2k4 so much (eg me).
