This version is considered final. All features are implemented and working. You can still report any bugs, but none are known at this time.

Description: This mutator adds options to help prevent flag camping and flag spamming in CTF gametypes. Protection for dropped flags, hit sounds, and penalty messages are now included.

Configurable options include:
Protection Time
Protection Radius
Hit Cylinder Size (Based & Dropped)
Penalty Damage Amount
Same Flag Hit Penalty toggle
Other Flag Hit Penalty toggle
Flag Carrier Penalty toggle

if you're shooting the flagrunner, if you accidentally hit the flag does it damage you too?
Or only when at flagbase/dropped?

how does flagcarrier penalty work?

The flag is not hittable when it's held. There's a setting to Penalize Flag Carriers. It means if someone is carrying a flag back to the base, and they shoot the other flag- should they be penalized or not. If not, they take no damage.

There were request for different sounds, graphics, and stuff. I like this mutator, but I particularly hate working on it, so:

wow, talk about timeing..i'm just about done setting up the pigis server and poped in here to get the v2 that was posted....

good work L7....quick question, what's the sytanx to load it with command line.

Version 4:

This is just a minor release because quite a few people requested another setting, and it seems like a good idea.

The changes are:

Dropped Grace Period: a timer setting to delay making the flag hittable after it is dropped. You can adjust all the way up to 5 seconds, so that people aren't penalized when they were firing at the carrier right before the drop.

Redeemer and Ion Painter damage won't cause penalties (it was kinda cheap to penalize for that).

I think this mostly affects the Zoom Shock, which was shooting through the carrier, hitting the dropped flag, and penalizing the shooter for a legit shot.

If these updates don't really apply to the weapons used on your server, or if you don't use dropped hits, it's really not necessary.

OMG my Clan Leader has been wanting to turn on penalizing for droped flag shooters but we play Gib Pig and it always kills the person who shot the flag we love you!

Version 5:

Added penalty message taunt sounds.
Created a "Flag Protection" settings group for WebAdmin.
Penalty damage no longer stopped by armor- fixes false penalty death broadcasts.
