Any criticisms?

I was wondering does any1 hav any major criticisms of what they have seen of GoW so far? I was looking at the available info and was really struggling......the only criticism i have for Epic at the minute is the lack of information they have released! I know E3 had taken up a lot of the time but now its over, y arent we getting any updates?

That's a hard one. I'm no fanboi, but I honestly have nothing major to critisize Epic or Gears of War with. Pherhaps a small lack of information. We wan't more media! :)

I think they will havnt so your easier to kill in MP but in nomeans near GRAW's short life

If i really had to criticize it would be for the following.
1. The lack of crouch button
2. The sliding bodies glitch

Well it's hard to have any complaints becuase GOW looks like a pretty solid game. I think after the game comes out there might be a few people that have problems. Same thing happened with Halo 2.

Isnt he picking up ammo, because at E3 they had the controls listed, and crouch was not there

I think he's picking up ammo too. I don't think you can crouch becuase that would be pretty pointless. You can get cover behind anything and you automatically crouch.

Give players a choice of what Race and gender they want there character to be.You dont have to go as deep as elder scrolls oblivion.Just give players a choice of Black guy,Black girl,White guy,White girl,Asian guy,Asian girl,Latin guy,Latin girl-premade character choice-those choices pretty much cover the race and gender of MOST of the people who will be playing the game.When a character is at least close to the same RACE and GENDER as the player it gives the player a closer connection to the game.

Gender wouldn't work as the women would most likely not be strong enough to carry the weapons and armour
Asians???? I have never seen an Asian person go to war.

ya Zoso if u look closer there is an icon that shows an arrow and a box, its the same icon they used when marcus was near a dead locust(and its's ammo) in the other gameplays or about to pick up ammo

well i think it will be a lil more than a clip, b/c u will be wasting lots of ammo, b/c ur enemy will be hiding and ducking and most likely u will miss a bunch of times, but lets say u sneak up behing him and for somereason dont us the chainsaw;) then one clip should proably kill them, lol we discussed this in ur "MP damage" thread alreay:)

i think u have to push a button, well thats what i have seen, just watch some videos and u will see the lil arrow+box(of ammo) icon show up in the middle bottom of the screeen

well if u watch the first MP video and pay attention to the bottom of the screen while he chainsaws the second guy u will see the icon

o and i watched the e3 demo again and it when marcus picks up the lancer ammo in the room right before the locust cut throught the door u can see the icon for a split second, so i think if ur near the ammo and u dont pick it up then the icon will show up but if u know exactly were it is and then just go press "X" on it then the icon will only show up for a second, btw they made it really realistic in that u have to crouch to pick up the ammo

well the only girl character we know of is anya, and even if there are others i doubt they will have the same bulid and size as a drone or marcus, which would make it unfair to be her since she woud be smaller and harder to hit, we have already discussed this and we decided there probably wont be any girl characters that are playable in MP b/c it would be fair, especially if u cant choose ur team(like in teh e3 elimination game) but hopefully GoW will have a reguar respawn game too

ya i heard that too, but it would be nice to have a regular deathmatch game, but i really dont care, b/c everything about gears will be great, i can't wait to play elimination, and what ever other cool game types EPIC has in store

i hope it has the customization abilites as halo(or something close to that) and the ability to search for a custom game like PDZ or BF2 MC, b/c in halo it sucked when u wanted to play Lockout and u kept getting stuck in Backwash or something, does anyone get what im saying?, no since i have BF2 MC its great that whenever i want to play Deady Pass all i have to do is search for it, so GoW should have the option to search for games including the map, the game type, .......

dude play css on the pc, i love having it with no respawn because you can't just sit at their spawn and wait for them to respawn and its more tactical if you kno you can't come back, i thought what you thought before i started playing counterstrike (about 2 years now) but once u start playing it, it is much better

well cliffy said some games that he looked at for inspiration and ideas when designing this game were mainly CS and Halo, two of the best games ever!

I have another new criticism....does anybody think picking up the ammo manually will get annoying? I mean, say ur in a fire fight and u hav ran past some ammo (not picking it up because u r occupied), and u hav a massive shoot out and die because u didnt pick up tht ammo. isnt tht a bit off? I understand if u would hav to manually pick up weapons....but i'm not so sure on the ammo part.
