You should give pcgamemods.com a try and mirror it up there. No registering, unlimited bandwidth.. Just click and download and a lot of people would get to check it out.

Either way I'm going to give this map a try tonight.

Why does it blow? Why? I found it took less than 3 mins to sign up and its free, and Im always downloading from them, high speed too...

I don't mind registration, 'specially considering I'm already registered at the playground. I think people don't like it because by nature we're all lazy and we just want what we want when we want it :P

But seriously, I downloaded the board & will try it out. Having a LANday this weekend and hopefully it'll be a good one for that!

With the size of the map, I find it perfect for VCTF. If it was ONS, it could probably have 2 nodes tops between cores.

i havent done any ONS-mapping yet only vctf...my thoughts would probably be...
one middle node w/ a tank spawn or "ece" paladin :confused:

ahh yeah sorry about the ECE vehicles in the shot, I use a mutator so it replaces them. I should have removed that before I took those.

Cool VCTF map! :)

If you're in a daring mood, you could try an ONS map without any nodes at all. Just connect the cores. Or maybe a few optional nodes along the way. Works great if you don't add any flyers.

By the way... is there some sort of boost volume between those arches? :weird:

yeah...there is volume boosters at each arch/bridges...that idea was given me by Freakish
from unrealplayground :) w/out those boosters it will probably take you around 2 minutes
to reach the flagbase and with boosters it takes you around 30+sec to get there :cool:

Tested this out -- very pretty, very cool, and I really enjoyed using the boosters. I can't recall what you specified as the playercount, but it's definitely way too large for six players. I realize this is in the Full Releases, but if you decide to make any more changes to it, I'd highly recommend you block off the "upper" areas so people can't hide with the flag. We wound up grabbing the other team's flags right away and disappeared into the wilderness... And a few minutes later we all voted for another board...

Could offset people going into the wilderness by adding raptors to pinpoint the flag carrier. I found it to be a really fun map myself, not enough good vctf maps out there.

The boosters are cool... but may I suggest some sort of indication that they're there? Other "boost volume" maps (Adara and Tricky) have big arrows marking the boosts, for example. Not saying you should do that too... but some sort of indication would help make me feel that they belong there because the Unreal universe wanted it, instead of because some players thought it'd be cool.

heh...6 players aint enuff for a map that size...the playercount is 12-20

there's a raptor on each side and they are located
on top of a tower :)

the upper area was block in beta1 and alot of people
wanted that area for manta runs or watever :P

i Might add some sort of booster indicator in the second edition...

Just dl'd and played this map.

Definitely a keeper for me. I had a ball on it.

Really great layout when playing this map with most of Excessive loaded via WoRM. I thought it was a bit simple at first but the bots gave me hell and kept me away from the flag at most of my attempts at a Hit'n'Run. I found it difficult to survive a lone run at the flag coz the enemy spawn so close to their flag. Great Stuff.

The Bots play very well I think.

Nice feel and all to this map as well.

Add them to 'trusted sites' and use your anti-spyware stuff to kill and adware/spyware that is on there. I recommend Ad-aware and Spybot myself.

I rather like UP myself. I had trouble with their site when I join up and contacted them aobut it. Freakish was very helpful and pleasant about the whole thing.

Hugely enjoyable and well thought out map. Great gameplay and one of the best VCTF maps I've seen...

A minor issue with the jumpads to the raptors being a little off imho but it's no biggie.

You should really get this up to Mapraider too, RedOne as this deserves a wider audience ;)

As for UP it's just the referrer to the site that causes your Firewall to act up. Change your privacy settings for UP to allow referrer info and you'll be good to go - It's nothing major.

Well not a bad looking map! Has a couple OnslaughtBP files in it so I assume that BP is required to play it.

Looked at it in the editor and it has 30 red flag pathing errors and several more yellow flags that could be fixed.

No antiportal actors and your fog is useless set at 48000 distant fog end. Quite laggy!

No FlyingPathNodes for the raptors. Cant understand how you could forget that.

Alot of useless terrain that could be fixed to give way better frame rates by using the terrain visibility tool along with proper fogging and proper placement of anti portal actors. Theres a few other things but I think if you fix those major points it might be playable!

Looks real cool but fundamentally has many issues that could be fixed before I would release it as a final version. ;)

It'd be nice if it got decent frames. Even on a higher end card it chugs.
