This is for a friend of mine, it appears he was able to play unreal tournament 2004 just fine earlier today, but is now getting a general production falt like this:

UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.48]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 1700 MHz with 255MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 (5303)

Ran out of virtual memory. To prevent this condition, you must free up more space on your primary hard disk.

History: FMallocWindows::Malloc <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 00000000 43016 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 43016*1 <- TArray<< <- TLazyArray::Load <- 0 <- FSoundData::Load <- TLazyArray<< <- USound::Serializ

He says he has plenty of disk space, and is not sure what to do. It seems it is a memory issue, can anyone here offer some insight?;) :up:

Try slowing the speed of your memory.

re-boot the machine so the memory clears and if it has worked before then it will all fit in the memory.
also try changing the virtual memory settings under control panel, make them 2.5x the amount of memory installed in the machine.

Otherwise think about changing the actual memory on the system and upgrading to more or faster.
