i was reading a thread about Trainer Girl on polycount.com and one of her makers posted a clip of her DANCING BALLET. so that got me thinking...could i modify existing UT2004 models to use new skeletal animation sequences from a variety of sources?
you can find the ballet video clip by going to the link below and scrolling down to where Scott Ruggels says "Testd the Skin Weighting with Ballet.Bip"
Polycount thread with link to Trainer Girl dancing BALLET (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~polycount/ubb/Forum2/HTML/008709-3.html)
i have found a ton of animations i think i could apply to existing ut2004 models/meshes at
a. e-motek's site (http://www.e-motek.com/entertainment/stockmoves/index.html)
b. the CMU motion capture lab database (http://mocap.cs.cmu.edu/)
c. USC (http://www.ict.usc.edu/graphics/animWeb/humanoid/)
d. AudioMotion (http://www.audiomotion.com/downloads.htm)
my questions:
1) using either maya or 3ds max, how do i apply these premade animations to a custom UT2004 character/model so these animations become part of their standard movement and taunt repetoire?
2) how do i convert the .tvd, .c3d, .amc files found at the CMU motion capture lab database (http://mocap.cs.cmu.edu/) into .bvh or .bip formats usable by maya or 3ds max ??
thank you!
