Sigh, yet another problem:

After completing my map I have tried to upload it for a test run onto a jolt server of my friends. Unfortunately, after uploaded, the map does not appear in the map list. I got another of my friends to just try and host the map from a self-hosted server, but it didn't appear in the list either.

This is extremely frustrating because I've never seen this problem before and it looks like I may have done all my work for absolutely nothing. Maybe I left an option to let it play online? I really don't know, all my previous maps have worked fine.

Anyone ever experieneced this problem?
Suggestions?

Thanks

No, you didn't do all your work for nothing.

First, check in WebAdmin for the server and make sure it's added to the Map Cycle.

Second, if it is in the map cycle, look for the maps UCL file in the system folder. if you do not see it, restart the server so it can create the ucl file. If restarting does not let the server create the UCL file, get the one from your system folder and upload it to the servers system folder.

Also, I'm not sure but doesn't an AS map require an *.int file ? If so, it needs to be uploaded to the system folder as well, along with any custom static mesh and texture packs you may have created for the map.

If everything I listed above fails, look in your servers log for any warning or errors associated with your map. They usually provide clues as to why your map is failing to load into the map list.

Hmm I tried the above but they didnt work, however, I did look in the log and found something about how it failed to export the map because i cannot find the package "TerraMeshes" could that be it?

That would be it.

Look in your Static Meshes folder for a package by that name and upload it to the servers corresponding folder. If you do not find a static Mesh package by that name, look in your textures folder, sometimes texture packages get named for the meshes they're used on. After you get all packages uploaded, restart the server and let it try it again. if it doesn't load, check the log again for anymore errors.

Ah cheers mate I totally forgot that it was a custom map I took the static mesh from, there is a static mesh file & a texture file I will upload them both, thanks again.
