Any free server?(Got problem with my own server)

Hi

Iam a leader of a clan in unreal 2k4.
I only got my own detected server.
It really suxs the ping for my members are like 100-800!!
But i got like 20-50...

We can't have any training or clan matches on this server:(
becues of the ping.

I live in Sweden and i got 24mbit/s brodband

Windows XP
P4
3400 ghz
RAM 1024
ATI x800xt with 256 memory
Hard disk 500gig

So i not think its my pc that its to bad

Do anyone know if there is any free server for clan or public?`
I really need one this is not good for my clan:(

Free server hosting is hard to come by. Better off figuring out what you're doing wrong with yours. How much upload do you have, and how many players are you trying to host at once? You're running this on a seperate computer than the one you play on, right?

Iam playing on the same pc as the server is located

I have 1 or 2 mbit/s upload
High ping when it it only are 5 players on the server

Max players on the server are 14 and 2 spec slots.

I have a mutor that is called PingCompensation2.
It should get the ping better but everyone have high ping with it to.

Are you running the server as a dedicated? as in using the runserver.bat file? copy of my runserver.bat

thx for the advice but its still laggy.:(

I played with a person form Holland and he got 50 in ping
And i got 4-8

Don't know why it is still laggy ??
Both for him and for me

We play 1on1 so there where don't many players
lagg!

I don't know what to do i really need a server for clan training and Clanbase matches.

Go to broadbandreports.com and get your true upload speed. 1 or 2 mbit/s doesn't really let me know what you really have. Once you have that figured out, the rest is easy.

When others shell download a map on my server it takes years
not funny

If you insist on having 14 players and 2 spectators, set your MaxInternetClientRate to 5500 and get rid of the ping compensation mutator.

Then set your RedirectToURL to http://uz2.gameservers.net/ut2004/ or some other public redirect.

The most of the lag is gone...
But the map download are still slow:(

Do you know any good site to download maps,sounds.mutors and so on?

well its really nothing big its just PHP Nuke I am not to Savy on website stuff so I took the easy route. You can check out http://phpnuke.org/ My web design was done by a friend who makes themes. Thanks and have a safe new years eve
