are emitters hard on the UT engine? will my map get laggy if I use a lot of them?? like 25 - 30 ??

well,depends,the complexity, the particle size and number...

try it out, it all depends, if u have like one emitter with 10000 particles all with collision on, it probably will, but if u have 10 emitters putting out 10 non-colliding particles each, itll probably be alot less. Not just number of particles, but triggering, velocity, time, and collision are all factors in how much it will bog down ur comp.
I have 2 waterfalls in the middle of my map spewing maybe 5000 particles total over maybe 24 emitters, but even with the fluid surface infos, the river area where it renders all that only drops about 5 fps.
