Can we host our own games?

How many players? 4 vs 4? 8 vs 8?

Game types? (coop, death match, team deat match etc..)

You guys got links that confirms all this?

So far, theyve confirmed a 4v4 tdm style play and online/offline coop. I bet theyll be adding a few more game modes in also before it gets released.

What about hosting our own games? Will they have their own server or will we be able to take are of it?

I am pretty sure i heard somewhere you can host your own games. Im not 100% but im about 80%. Otherwise the game would just be "matchmaking" and would attract less people.
I enjoy "matchmaking" but I like a change of pace.

Same here. And for our clan, we do not create a Division for a game if we can't host our own servers so that we can have practices and such.

For example, you only had matchmaking in CoD II. Now you can host your own games. So we have a COD 360 Division.

I think the hosting feature is almost required for a title to be a killer app of the year so, pretty much it will be there.

You won't need confirmation. I'd say we can be 99.99% sure that there will be game hosting - Epic aern't idiots. The amount of people who put down CoD2 because of the absence of a lobby system will deter them from matchmaking only. PLUS, there is co-op so there has to be lobbies mate.

After playing Halo 2, I have really been put off Matchmaking. I mean sure, it does its job, and it doesn't do it too badly either. But I much prefer joining a hosted game. Like in the Slinpter Cell series and Burnout etc.

Having a list of games to join means you can play the map you like when you like. I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to drop a game of Halo 2 when I hated the map. And I know alot of people that do. Which makes it harder for the remaining team and ruins your rank.

I understand what you are saying here when you say you would like hosted games but the host could abuse it so badly in halo and yeah it could be changed in GOW but can you imagine the person who ALWAYS hosts their own game to abuse it. The guy could basically get used to playing with host so he could fully abuse it. Matchmaking was terrible but perhaps an organized game where people have split host would be good. Who knows what standby could do to this game...
