UT2K4 CD-Rom Read Errors...

I just got ut2k4 and i'm having a wonderful time trying to get disk 5 and 6(play disk) to read on a cd/dvd combo drive. If anybody knows a way around this or if there is a fix somewhere for it i would just love to hear it right now. Just for an added kick, it works fine on normal cd-rom only drives but the combo one's will not even detect the disk. It is as if they just don't exsist. Somebody help me please!!

Some CD brands don't work well with a few drives. You could check the brand's site for possible conflicts. If you just wanna install the game again and you don't have a CDROM drive, borrow some friend's drive and then put the last patch.

You could also check for the latest firmware updates to your drive. Securerom wreaks havoc on on some drives, and often requires you to have current firmware to run it.

I appreciate the help guys, but i've been outta the game for a while so this firmware thing is confusing on top of that the idiots in the tech support dept. tell me to put the disks on the hard drive even after i tell them twice that the damned 5th and 6th disk are unreadable.
