Name: Rally Camera
Compatibility: UT2004
Homepage and Download: http://games.discoverthat.co.uk/

Description:
Adds an extra view while driving wheeled vehicles. Very similar to the view used in most racing games. The camera always follows behind the vehicle but is not rigid. There is a enough movement to be able to see all the action but still control the car. The camera slowly returns to facing forwards.

The advantage is, that you only need one hand to drive.
The disadvantage is that you can no longer aim a driver controlled weapon.

Works multiplayer.

You use the nomal 'ToggleBehindView' (F4) key to change between the original outside view, the drivers seat view and the new Rally Camera view.

The mouse wheel 'PrevWeapon' and 'NextWeapon' keys still move the view closer and further away from the vehicle.

(At the moment it only works with standard game types, anything with a PlayerController of 'XGame.xPlayer' and vehicles which are sub-classes of 'ONSWheeledCraft' )

Very Innovative!!

But unfortunately its not for me...i have enough trouble controlling a vehicle with a static camera.

Great Idea Though!

Props.

My very reason for writing it. I can not steer and rotate the camera at the same time.

The original third person view that came with the game needs two hands to control the vehicle and camera. In my version the camera sorts its self out, so you can concentrate on steering.

Hey JCBDigger!

OK so i actually tried your mutator out, and i hafta say that it adds a new dynamic type of fun to the game. Sometimes it was at a an awkward angle (could just be my driving though.) All in all this is a fine peice of coding and is definately on my most used mutators list. Thanks a bunch man.

props.

Edit: Just goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover. ;)
