Name:C&C Vehicle pack (coming up with a better name)
Version: idea gathering and recuiting
Compatibility: UT 2004
Description: i had the idea to make a vehicle pack for ut2004 with C&C vehicles the idea was founder by my with large amounts of ideas contributed by members Phantom_dream and Grim Reaper though we need help because i'm the only one that can model and we want more modelers and coders (oh i can code to) to help this along other wize we will be waiting a long time for this to come out

Hello there! I am Phantom_dream, and i am not as newbie as my title describes. I've read just about everything except for the maps, of which I read a few. I know about hackerz, the many projects of pyro, and a LOT of vehicles.
I'm the useless person co-founder thing of the C&C project we are to talk about. The idea is that we, frankly, make vehicles and maybe weapons (and very maybe models) Inspidered by the C&C games. We will mainly use Red Alert 2 and Tiberian Sun units as an inspiration.
Unfortunatly, I cannot code or anything, and I can only provide ideas. To show you what we are doing, I will post pictures of out list of weapons.
The list.
Battle Fortress (replaces either the Leviathan or the Goliath)
Apocalypse (Same as above)
Banshee (Replacing the raptor)
Robot Rocket Tank (Replacing, probaly, the Manta)
Stealth Buggy (Replacing, probaly, the Scorpion
Kirov Airship (Replacing the Dragonfly, the thing that comes when you use the Target Painter)
Tesla tank(In making) (Replacing, probaly, the Hellbender)
prisim tank(maybe) (A special vehicle probaly, replacing nothing, we dont have slots left. Maybe a user could pick which one he/she/it wants)

Actualy, there is a thread here that has the hovertank, let me look up the link to it. It should be easy to find. And yes, that hovertank is ours.

Your mod is a little vague on the page. Could you tell me some mores tuff? Since you're adding units (all) and buildings, it would seem, this cant be a normal map. what do you plan to do?
Also, only elwood can do anything, Grim and me can only give ideas and info. So even if we were to join your mod, I doubt we'd be usefull. I leave everything to elwood though.

I am afraid we dont have those in quality format. I can only provide the banshee for you:
it doesnt have to be quality format. just get someone with decent sketching skills to draw a top,left,front view of a vehicle and ill see what i can do with the model.

i like generals:) but me phantom_dream and Grim reaper decided to drop the generals vehicles and go with the tiberan & Ra Vehicles
but if you whant to make any from the list that havn't been taken your welcome just let us now so far the taken vehicles are:
tesla Tank (me and i'm definatly doing it)
Banshee ( Hurricane is doing this if i can do some decent skecths)
Robot rocket tank (Pearbo is possibley doing this)

i will help you code it's going to replace the bomber when you call in an airstrike( we whated it to play a bigger roll but cause of it size it wouldn't fit anywhere:( so it will come when you call an air strike) it will probley be a lot slower than the bomber but a lot more devistating (something that would require defending but worth the effort)

Indeed, most of the C&C fans hate generals. It's got to do with it being too realistic and that the gameplay has been changed from it's usual system. I too have fallen victim to hating generals, especialy lately where it seems to go lag lag lag on this extremely high end PC im using (It can run Ut04 at max settings with no prob).
It is nice to know you wish to help us with the kirov airship, check your PM's, I have a few pictures of it in a PM to you, and an explenation of what we want to do with it.

My sketches aren't worth crap...Literaly
It's got a rather simple form.
The banshee is more like half an oval as you may see, the back just has this round form, but at around half, huge airvents can be seen, probaly used to boost thjis thing forward (like duh? :P). this also means the air has to come out. I think that is on the downer side (we never see pics of that side), with thrusters that are wider then they are bigger. the entire back is red (or blue since I think that's the most obvious place to TC it), with nothing but a few lines and such to add to detail. The front half of this thing is less simple. but the pictures show the front half pretty well.
I'm afraid I cant give you easy side front above views, but I dont think that this model is very hard to understand.
Also, a callout to anyone who has rom to host (space and bandwith) two pics of mine I was able to take at the install of Yuri's Revenge (I just realized I could install it, yippee)

Heh. I own all of the C&C games except the first one and it's expansion stuff, and I still like yuri's revenge the most. Generals plain sucks and tibsun is too old now. althouhg it's ideas are, as you can see, still redhot.

Ive never played much online nor had a clan, I was more of a freelancer. Around that time I was into generals (short tern) and mostly MSN. Probaly some PSO at that time, my hard stages.

If you've never been in a clan with yr then I don't think you'd own that hard on the game since all clanless players were pretty much always easy n00bs :D (most of them didn't even know that you could use the keyboard for building for example :D). No offence though :D
Anyways cool that you bring back the old school in the game. Now that I'm thinking of the cars I hope that you could like bring back the actual yr features of all the vehicles. Let me explain myselve:
Battle fortress: This was one of my favourite vehicles. It was just as stong as the people inside. With one seal is was able to kill any walking men, with gi's you could distroy buildings and with rocket man (forget their name lol) you could ditroy tanks.
I still very well remember the clan matches where we played allies vs allies and we all end up having about 1 battle fortress left and a repair vehicel (air def car + engineer (would be nice to this package too)) and then the battle fortress dance started. Where you would push the fotress a little forward to just fire of rockets to the other battle fortress, then you pull back to 'dodge' the enemies incoming rockets. Man this could go on for so long and it really asked lots of your concentration.
Or like the prism tank. Very week armor but in combination with other prisms this was so ****ing strong.
The robotic tank: able to go over water and not getting under control by yuri's mind power.
Kirov: very slow but very powerfull.
Tesla (that was a useless tank lol :D)

You mean pressing a key on the keyboard and it starts building them? I can click faster then I can type, and I can type very fast. Got to do with high mouse speed and sensetivity. Also, I've never played BF versus BF with the repair drone IFG (was that it?), but I know a nice yuri tastic witht his: mastermind. Hehe. 5 of those things protecting my mastermind and repairing each other and I rush in to get 20+ units without it dieing.
The tesla tank aint that powerfull, it's just a cool weapon.
Prism tank? Last allied mission, three prism tanks. Guess who won.
I HATE the robot tank in game, it's very weak. I can take it out with anything.
Kirov: Thats why we're using it as a bomber in here. maybe we could make some maps (i can map, but Idont even know how to do ONS maps, so dont bother to ask) where target painters are plentyfull. Boris style migs would rock as well.
Do you happen to have some time to play against me online? I want to discuss some stuff and I wanna play RA2:YR a bit more. Solo is boring.

WOW! Looks great! It wouldnt hurt to make it just a tad bigger, but this size is veyr nice already. (You need to think that there's this small thing hanging under it, which drops the bombs, and the bombs almost as big as a player, rofl)

I believe I can help you. RA2: Allies Last Stand is a tc mod for UT 2004 turning it into RA2. We will have all the old units plus some new. I can't tell you all the new units right now. We have 8 unit models already done:

I don't play yr anymore and I don't have the cd anymore too :< I quit 1,5 years ago and the cd is now back in my home town between lots of other cd's. Anyways, you can't play top yr without using the keyboard. It's imposible to beat that. It makes you around 20 % faster then normal. I know a even better way of fighting. The hardest way of teamwork was this: I'm allies and my allie is yuri. Now he's gonna have a lot of work as he's going to take over my whole army by using control (only if you play against yr, this is to enable him taking over the minds of my man/ vehicles. Then you built: battleforces (with 1 seal, 4 yr's or 4 rl men) and prism tanks. The allie takes them over and sends my prism tanks in the yr bunkers (that's sooo ****ing strong). He releases the mind power. Now we have the strongest defensive think there is. You can simply walk ur base into enemy base to win. And if ur oponent would attack you'd either distroy his tanks by rl battle fortresses or take them over by yr battle fortresses.
You can only beat this if your either rushing really good or your allies + yuri too. BTW in the meanwhile while you do all this you let yuri grind all your gi's. It's best to be america so you give him lots of free money.

I have played tiberian dawn (Damn I forget names a lot), but I didnt like it at all. Sure it was better then ra1, which I belive is the worst C&C game ever (beating generals by miles) because I feel ra1 is unplayable. Tiberian Sun has extremely cool units and ra2 just plays so much better then all the other ones that it's a game I won't forget. Rofl.

You mean it will be 'eagle's eye' view and everything? If you are making it, send me the freaking mod, rofl. Also, the units you posted are not that new. The heli transport was in RA2, the light tank is reminding me of yuri's light tank and the vulture would only be left. What is that?
TheBladeRoden: Indeed elwood is right, you are the first that realy set something in UT and that is a very nice thing of you. Nice to see you're realy working on it, I like that!

I've been thinking about what u said about map making for ONS with C&C fitures and I could help you make drawing on the best YR maps of how you could like balance out the map with ons future's on them, but I really wonder if that would work and I never play ONS so I might come up with poor iedees too.

Maybe that could work. But you're forgetting something.
ASSAULT: We can have the most famous and fun missions all into the game if we work hard. (And I get to plan, yippee :P). I mean imagine the last RA2 allied mission. Blue gets three prism tanks, with like 15000 life and a huge attack bonus. Red gets a LOT of tanks, probaly apocalypses.
GinZza, have you been checking our original thread? we only need two vehicles for grabs, and there's a lot in that by info as well.

I just realized we have 1 (I repeat 1) slot left in the game. The turret. This could either be a VTOL aircraft or another turret. Or we can risk it and make this our prism tank I have a nice little list of turets:
The RPG tower (or was it another name) from tiberian sun. The GDI gets it.
The laser tower from tibsun. The nod has that one ingame.
SAMS. A lot of different turrets used this trick. Could be anti-ground too
Lazer turrets from generals: they used the same thing as the laser tower, but looked much more sleek and more advanced. Could be a bad thing as well.
Gattling cannon: Same as minigun, but helluvalot more powerfull.
Tesla coils: Should be very fun with tesla tanks driving around.
Prism towers: Hey, that way, we CAN add something prism int he game, and not get bugs and so.
Patriot missiles: Avril style blowing up vehicles, sounds powerfull! Must be coded to lock onto anything unlike raptor missiles.
EMP cannon: Disabling vehicles might be hard, but it WOULD rule.

I am suprised witht he ease of these projects as each vehicle is being made except for the apocalypse (voulenteers?). Also, which of the tureets I posted would you like? Or any other turet/weapon? also, does anyone think it would be cool to make this either with weapons or even a full class system? It would definatly be cool.

Ok yeah well, i guess i exagerated, TS is probvably in reality my favorite (i prefer the tiberium theme) but TS looked like hell, worse than the first one. Still was nice though.
(by the way, the only cnc's i dont own are generals and firestorm)

Hehe. TibSun is the best one in theme, topping ra2 just a little bit. I realy hope they're making a tiberian game again. I mean, look at the mods to put tiberian sun into redalert2! Also, I own those you mentioned. I wonder why people dont like firestorm? Or at least are too lazy to buy it. I got it for a birthday from my grandparents, lol. Picked it myself ;). In the time wehre they still had pretty boxes. Not these ugly DVD jewel cases.

pearbo i've done those planes just gotta scan them as far as there quailty i drew them using tehnicnecs used in grapix (i'm a grapix student) but some bits i sketched so i would say view them as guidelines and don't read betwen them just follow them cause there maybe some minor in consistances in them but other than that there very accuate but i would hve to see how the go in maya or what ever you use

I'm not a map/vehicle maker, what I can do is help you guys if your making the right thinks, but I don't know anythink about ONS since I hate that mod, but I'm willing helping you in making a map iedees for a Red Allert mod for example. http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=393377 <--- here you can see what I can do for u guys. I can't build maps, but I do know what the clanning people like (I think).
If you would be able to find me a picture of 'country swing' I could make a drawing on it how you could build up the power nods etc, but I don't wanna get to much into this since I won't play ons.

I wonder why you hate ONS, it is a welcome addition to have to destroy many things and get whammed on the way. it's very busy, which I like. Also, mapping ideas and such (Like in the thread you gave me) would be welcome very badly. If you think you can design a good RA2 map that someone can actualy create then you are welcome to make something up. Also, I think that this should also have a few assault maps, not just ONS. VCTF just sounds a bit freaky in the RA2 universe. Maybe replace the flag with, say, technology for the chronosphere or another S-Wep?

I just don't like the cars and stuff, they have nothink to do with the real fps stuff to me. Anyways, I like the iedee that it could be nice, but it doesn't work for me. I've you could find me a picture of country swing and heck freezes over then I will make a drawing of how I think you could play those maps as ONS.

What pictures do you want? I'm a bit unsure what you mean. Pictures of the map, of the environment, parts of the maps? I can't make maps and I think I'm also not a person to do this.
What I can do is help you guys in making a map balanced. Now I don't know much about ons (only did it 1 time with my clan :D), but I do know how the game goes. Now my iedee is this: if you guys give me a picture of 'country swing' and 'heck freezes over' (the most populair ra2 maps ever) then I could help you guys by making a drawing telling how you could remake those maps for ONS. I have some iedees of how you could build up those maps in ways of where do u place power nodes etc (like where would the action be). Then afterwards someone could build the maps just by looking at the pictures. You could even make a hole ra2 mod uit of it :D having ra2 vehicles to play the map too.

Please pick which one of these you like most:
The RPG tower (or was it another name) from tiberian sun. The GDI gets it.
The laser tower from tibsun. The nod has that one ingame.
SAMS. A lot of different turrets used this trick. Could be anti-ground too
Lazer turrets from generals: they used the same thing as the laser tower, but looked much more sleek and more advanced. Could be a bad thing as well.
Gattling cannon: Same as minigun, but helluvalot more powerfull.
Tesla coils: Should be very fun with tesla tanks driving around.
Prism towers: Hey, that way, we CAN add something prism int he game, and not get bugs and so.
Patriot missiles: Avril style blowing up vehicles, sounds powerfull! Must be coded to lock onto anything unlike raptor missiles.
EMP cannon: Disabling vehicles might be hard, but it WOULD rule.

Owkey, let's start of with the easiest map, country swing:

Now the best posible way I can think of playing it is like on this picture. Blue is 1,2 and Red is 3,4 (or the other way around). Behind point 1,2 where I put the red circal is the main power core. Nice think about putting it there is that you could actually defend the main power core by the city in front of it. The cities also prove cover for the power covers on point 1,2,3,4. They are all connected. This picture doesn't show the picture of how the power cores are connected, but it does give you a tactiacal view of the attacking ways.

The red ways are hard action and the green ways are sneak attacks. I would absolutely not want a powercore on the mid of the map. The key should be to distroy one of the 2 bases on the numbers of the map and that would leed you to victory. Making a core on mid would force teams only taking the mid ways.
This map should also not have uber strong vehicles. Rather: A good mixture of hard action vehicles and a couple of sneak weapons.
Anyways, the best think is that a team won't win on aim but on teamplay and tactics. If I would imagen a high skilled fight you could have this situation: red is making a big attack from point 2 to 4. So like 2 goliaths, 1 raptor and another think attack. In the mean while 2 other guys make a sneak attack from point 2 to point 3 having some very fast vehicles which ain't seen fast, but they ain't strong or like the kirov (in the heat of a fight u might not notice him and he slowly walks over the map in ur base and distroys it.
Anyways at ra2/yr this was a hard action map in ways that you had to keep your eyes and ears open all the time. It was so well balanced that a war could go on very long without loosing interest in it. It was also a map of teamplay. Teams that felt eachother would win faster then ppl that were very skilled, but didn't know eachother.
Anyways, these are some basic iedees on the map. I can work them out beter, but I hope u first get where I'm going too.
I'm also working on Heck Freezes Over, but that map is so ****ing difficult. The map is just briljant and kinda unexplainable.

I'm really trying to figure out you could balance this just so that you would have dozens of options in tactics, but it stays well balanced.

Your ideas are very nice and they show some of the fun that a TC could provide, but no mapper would be able to do this, except maybe angel mapper, who'd be uninterested anyway, I think.
The mid cores wouldn't mater much if one were to build a huge amount of walls around it :P.
The stealthy and main would make for some fun.
I'm afraid heck will be hard.

I don't think making country swing would be that hard. You just have one big flat map with trough the center the river, 3 crossing options. Then each side has a own little city. Each base would have 2 power cores (on 1,2 and 3,4) and 1 main power note (or how do u call these thinks :D). That's about it. then u can make extra's.

whel, that's not my iedee. The base should be open. You've got tanks from the cores to defend it so use those.
The city should just be like 3/4/5 houses. Not that special, but it would be nice if they could get garisoned. So like you have a weapon in that buiding, but it shouldn't be too strong. No walls around it.
Anyways, the city ain't very important you can just as well leave it out or have like 3 buidlings. It's not the main focus on the map.
I dunno if it's county swing :D I always called it country, but who cares :D And I never play ons so I don't know all the names.

Ok this is a idee about Heck Freezes Over:
The cores would be at 7 and just below 5 as on the picture. At pos 1,6 and 2,3 should be powernodes. The picutre shows how they are connected.
I've been thinking of making more nodes, but I think that by this you keep the map's strenght the most. Still, the rest of the map should also have futures. On the crosshairs I thought thinks like: weapon(ammo) could be and healt. Down at the mid should be somethink very strong like 100 H and 100 S or like a Double Damage. I first thought that a leviation would be nice there, but it's too hard to get that in the map keeping the nodes balanced. And I also think that stupid vehicle is way to strong.
This map should really be made in 3 levels: The outher circel as the highest, the the midle circel a little lower and then the pit, this balances the map.

I will be using this post to write my thought about each unit we have and describing what they will do and such. this might be changed on a later date, but right now, this is my two cents.
Battle Fortress:
This giant assault vehicle is the Allied's response to the Soviet's Apocalypse Tank. Mounting only a machine gun, the Battle Fortress might seem an easy target for enemy tanks, but its power becomes clear when it crushes enemy vehicles under its mighty tracks. The Battle Fortress also serves as a transport. Up to five infantry units can climb aboard and provide extra firepower as they travel by independently firing their weapons out of the Battle Fortress's many ports.
The driver gets:
Controls of the vehicle
Primary fire: Machine gun.
Secondary fire: Zoom
Passengers: Undicided, there are two ideas:
1. to let people walk into the thing and shoot their own weapons
2. To place random weapons (Tesla shooter, flak cannon) on passenger numbers and allow passengers to use these weapons.
This will be our replacement for the leviathan.
Apocalypse:
Equipped with both ground and anti-air guns, the Apocalypse Assault Tank is the ultimate piece of Soviet tank technology, blending brute force and serious firepower. Once you get a fleet of this guys out and about, their assault power is not to be laughed at. Perhaps their only weakness is their very slow speed; and usually a player with sending out a group of Apocalypse Tanks will most likely have sacrificed aspects of base defense to build up such a force. Thus when building your fleet, beware of pre-emptive strikes by your opponent.

Secondary: Fire rockets, which will probaly home in on either raptors/mantas or every tank.

Robot Rocket Tank
This speedy raider is the result of Allied research into anti-tank technology. This hovering tank can move over water, and its cannon makes quick work of straggling enemy units. Disadvantages are that the Robot Tank cannot gain veterancy and doesn't fare well in prolonged conflicts, but always keep a few on hand for mini-assaults.

Kirov Airship
These massive zeppelins are the aerial terror of the Soviet force, capable of dropping massive payloads of bombs that tear into enemy structures and decimate nearby units as well. Get a couple of these into the enemy base and it's so long, comrade. Of course, the trick is getting them there. The only downside is the Kirov's slow rate of movement; the savvy player will make a quick pre-emptive strike against a fleet of Kirovs, so it's wise to protect them with a few ground-based and anti-air forces until they reach their desired target

Secondary: None.
Tesla tank
This tank utilizing Soviet Tesla technology makes it a lightning bolt on treads -- fast and deadly. Effective against both infantry and vehicles, The Tesla Tank really has only one disadvantage: it's expensive to produce, and when you're choosing to create Tesla Tanks, it can often mean you're skimping on some other aspect of your army. In games rich with ore fields and a heavy flow of credits -- in other words, a situation in which you can afford it -- a group of Tesla Tanks is nearly unstoppable. Round out with a Apocs and Rhinos, and your enemy will be seeing Red.

Prisim Tank
A virtual Prism Tower on wheels, this experimental Allied tank fires white-hot beams of light to fry enemy units. Particularly good against massed units, Prism Tanks are best off when supported by basic offensive units like Grizzly Tanks, as they're relatively slow-moving, and take a few moments to recharge their beams.

Anyway I know a Mapper from Startrek Elite Force 2 that modeled the whole allied base in BSP brushes. He also put out all the maps in .map form with his blessing and said any1 could use them as long as they gave him credit.

Indeed, its also about tiberian sun, to be exact. We didnt include any others due to lack of good units formt he games. Expecialy generals wasnt worth it (C&Cers hate generals)
Also note that the banshee will be a powerfiuller 2weapon then the raptor to defend itself against 'pocies (apocalypses)
The project that is going the best is either the apocalypse or the tesla tank. The tesla tank is the oldest project, a 7 page thread about it on its own is on the www.utvehicles.com forum.
I will let someone else check that :P

Basicaly, this means that we need a new person to model, skin, and probaly code the vehicle as wel l(I am unsure though about the latter)

Also, another author is having problems which are currently being fixed because he's learning maya (which he said is quite easy). Thus, we'll have to wait with the apoc and bfortress pics until he has redone them both. they looked quite good before.
We also now have an official forum with just 5 posts, but I made a few round up posts in there so you could see the work. Anyone is allowed to sign up, not just the team.

The sweet, sweet, SWEET ingame of the kirov airship, probaly fully modeled. Unfortunatly, they dont skin themselves nor do they get in the game itself (thats a smesh) without help thus we must wait even longer to target paint/fly this thing! (I am now interested in putting it ingame like another normal vehicle )

Actually I decided to work on a prism in 3dsmax last night very late, at the moment i kinda suck at texturing, and I'd have to look at the tut on scripting but modeling itself im not bad at, I'll sign up with u :) Tell me if this extremly basic model is going in the right direction, I know there r some big things that need changing to fit what the prism actually looks like but this is a start

P.S.S. COuldn't u use the Goliath Tanks Movement scripts, and the Hellbenders back turrent and/or the Ion tanks main cannon, with some modification of course.

yeah its a rectangle, like i said before thats just a really basic test, Im already on a much more detailed version of the model. :)

All is well right now, it would seem. I request here that every developer and everyone interested signs up at our official forums and goes to our thread in modworks. I'd prefer that each vehicle got it's own thread. Thank you for the work Stronin, but I posted about it at utcc already.
About the weapon, I think we'll use Ion Plasma without the big explosion then? It would suit this weapon perfectly, although the speed of the laser'd need to be faster.

Finally finished the "hopefully" final Prism Mesh
COurse just alittle after I finished it #dsmax decided to not save properly and the entire top half of the mesh was randomly strewn about the build area and of course a the small panel attached to the front i may or may not add, but those are problems I'm fixing later, anyway heres a pic of it before that happened :)

Now THAT, my friend, I refer to as a prism tank. You do a marvelous job in this! I like the sence of detail to the weapon, which still maintains the simple look it should have. You've got all the sizes right if you ask me, it's on a great scale. But I'd like to see it with a pawn next to it for reference.
I see how this one should be ingame, check out my utcc posts about it.

Either i can texture that box-like thing in the front to be a hatch or the opening beside it will be the hatch
Alos there will be a machine gun mounted on that side

Ah, you are making that slot? That's very cool of you and I like that. Maybe it could have two people? Although, overall, I think this shouldnt be the most powerfull tank .That's the Bfortress and next to that is the apoc.
I've been thinking of balancing isseus...
Lets say that you as a prism tank are fighting an apoc. No chance in hell you'd win, he was cannons that rip you to shreds!
So how does one balance that?
Also, the Bfortress might become a little weak if nobody is around, so it might need a new gun?
I think the Prism tank will become a sort of hellbender weapon...Maybe you can give it a secondary alonggside the mini. It needs something. I prefer not to use zoom (I'm a perfect sniper if I get to stand still, I dont need zoom instagib to hit ants...Er...Bots)
Maybe we can use an anti tank weapon as secondary? A rocket pod under it? Something to balance it to an apoc.

This vehicle pack could turn out as a full mod, allies versus soviets, because the code of spawning vehicles should make it possible.
Lets say that the allies in this case get:
Robot tank, controlled form a base so when you die you dont actualy die, just lose the robot tank.
Prism tank.
Bfortress
Nighthawk with missiles
Mirage tank. Quote: "I see trees moving..."
Special project Blizzard tank: A chrono tank that instantly kills a vehicle, but is defenceless against infantry and has a recharge time of a full minute. ((C) PhantomDream ;))+
Summon a group of Black Eagle jets to destroy something, quick but less deadly then a kirov.
Soviets get:
Apoc. As a levi.
Rhino tank as a goliath
Kirov summon.
Drive a terror drone ^^ Melee attacker that destroy vehicles at once with 150 life. Like robot tank but quicker respawn(lets say replace all raptors with this, that way allies have air supriority)
Tesla tank
The 'Raven' tank. a tank that hovers quietly ove rthe battlefield, slowly to use a special dart gun to instantly kill infantry and a rocket pod to severely damage vehicles. Darts do not work on tanks. How do the darts work?
They are based on an early tesla technology (this is a real life technology) where two tiny darts are shot at a person that carry a small sort of wire that is set on 10000 volts. Instant toast. Unfortunatly, it doesnt work on vehicles.

Currently, none of the models except maybe the prism and maybe the kirov are done even by moddeling. It was just a small post I made to let out some ideas for the future, if people start to like this and we'll be all famous. :P
My list of where vehicles go ATM:

phantom i like your idea of a tc but will need a few more coders i think i'm the only one thats anounced i can code but i ain't a BC kinda coder maybe a kinda coder that can do the nessaryies but nothing real fancy

I fixed the wring links. also, why dont pople listen? I WISH TO KNOW WHAT TURRET TO USE....Is it that hard? My thought is mostly on the nod laser turret. Is any of our modeelers or maybe a new person interested in moddeling it? Think of torlan where their'll be huge amounts of these things! You'll be the most famous of all! I like turrets.

I think those would be the coolest 1's to use...question though.. where would the gunner go? I mean those things were automated in C&C TS would we want like a small seat mounted onto the side of it ?
I "could" probably do it, but I know nothing of turrent coding whatsoever so u'd probably have to handle that side of it. :)
Also I really want to try to get the Prism at least working before i start other projects or we'd get nothing done:bulb:
I'm going to try my best to get the Prisms skeleton system worked up at least as I now can do that with the handy websites Khol listed (thanks again:up: ) Then I'll prep it and import it into UT and Lord willing it will be the right size, and yes I have not checked on sizing yet don't kill me :)
Maybe by saturday I'll have something workable.
I work well at midnight :D

I understand what you mean, so we'll just have to see how things work up. I belive you needed to turn some axes around or something too? Im not modeler, skinner, coder, and hardly a mapper (dont know ONS, AS, CTF, BR, or anything except DM. Not even tDM. Oh, I do know iDM, but that's not mapping mut mutting.)
The laser thing is extremely cool and should probaly just have a small sit-on pad next to sit, and make sure the driver has a good position. Would be cool iff the laser would be left of you, since I dont know a weapon with a view like that. Of course, aiming as normal, maybe it should fire short bursts and meanwhile have a small laser targetter. the ion plasma code should help :P

The turrets were a bit of fun and as you can probably see, everything is in a very raw stage. Although I like the idea of a hatch, I want to eventually make the turrets remote controlled from a central location (like in AS-mothership). This would be a bit unbalanced since you can effectively attack someone yet remain totally safe yourself. I wouldn't be suprised if I switched how they worked. Thankfully, it isn't too difficult.
I'm still not sure how this is all gonna balance out but I'm already excited and I'm having a great deal of fun creating and playing with the models. You never know, anything is possible (except flyable planes ho ho).

Not at all is it dead. We have plenty of vehicles in-game and have a coder creating a C&C style base building gametype (although that could be far off).
The team uses the UTCC forums for chatting about what is happening with the mod, which is why it has been quiet on this thread.

This recent thread talks about it. In short, if anyone would like to create a self destruct weapon then we'd probably put it in - but at the moment time is quite short.
The infantry type weapons would be great to add in, I'd like to shoot some people with a "chronogun" or portable tesla weapon.
