First of all I would like to give a huge thanks to Major A. Payne for modeling this magnificent bird. Current status is trying to get the jet exaust to work right and then bots to use it. Poly count is 2750.

Well I made the collision box underneath it like that so eventually it will have a ramp underneath it in a custom map I will make in the future.

How about this, Die. Just go kill yourself. No offense Scully, but the Halo version of that looks totally different. This is simply similar. If anyone made anything from another game, you would say that they ripped it. So how about you grow up, get an IQ higher than 5, and actually appreciate something.

Thanks for your support. The halo version is 10k polies which is way too much for UT so I had a friend model a new low poly one that looks just as good. And yes Desaparecido, I know you're a skill club forum loser and have no life..... but that doesnt mean you have to pick on me like a bully all the time :rolleyes:

For those of you who're not aware, the creator of this thread is also known as:

Here is his story:
Part One
The History
{SQ4}Antio�h registered at the Tactical-Ops forum a few years ago, where he was known as
Kristina23. He also at times went by the name of Jade. There, he pretended to be a female,
often flirting with the other forum members, and in at least one known case he tried to lure
some of the younger males there into having cyber-sex with him. While at this forum, he also
tried to pass off a picture of a girl he found on the internet as himself, until she found
out about it and posted there to complain. Changing names and tactics, he next posted that
his girlfriend had recently been killed in a car accident in an attempt to garner sympathy
from many of the angry members there. For this and several other reasons, he was banned from
Tactical-Ops.
In early 2002, he moved onto the INA (now Atari) UT2003 General Discussion forums. At that
forum, he went by the name Packet �o��, and once again passed himself off as a female.
Pretending also to be a mapper, he asked some of the other mappers on this forum for help
with his maps. Unfortunately, these later were revealed to be stolen. After being caught for
stealing DM-Myhouse, he was ridiculed on the INA/Atari forums, so he asked the forum
moderator to change his name to -=WhiteWulf=-.
At this point, he gave up pretending to be a female, but again posted the story of a dead
girlfriend, although this time there were a few variations in the story... such as the
alleged girlfriends name, and the time when the accident occurred.
The Pattern
One of the things that made the members of these forums so upset, was that he repeatedly
passed off others work as his own. Aside from maps, there are many cases were he would post
artwork, either for a signature or avatar, and then boast about how well it had turned out.
Unfortunately, it usually turned out that he had just stolen it. Someone would eventually
post the original artwork from the original website or forum. After being caught by some
members of the forum, he would start spamming threads with 'nobody loves me', or 'I am a
loser' to gain sympathy from newer members of the forum, or those that were unaware of his
past. This would occur on an almost weekly basis.
Sometimes to try and hide his lies , he would delete the thread (which you can do if you
were the one that created it) and then later deny he had ever posted it. If he did not
create the thread however, he could only later delete his post in it, hoping no one would
notice. This, -=WhiteWulf=- did on a regular basis, as only forum moderators can close or
move other members threads.
The Opportunity
The INA/Atari forums were popular, but one of the downsides was that posting off-topic [OT]
was not allowed. In early 2003, one of it's members, Hellcat2k3 started up the 'Hellcat
Forums', a place where the other members he had become friends with at INA/Atari could go
and safely post OT. Many of these INA/Atari members moved over to this new forum, and it
began to grow in popularity. Trying to get a fresh start, -=WhiteWulf=-, who had recently
changed his name again, now to {SQ4}Antio�h, signed on at Hellcats. In May 2003, when the
Hellcat's forum started reaching the bandwidth limit, Hellcat switched to a new server, and
The Skill Club was born.
It was at this time that {SQ4}Antio�h offered to donate a vBulletin license for the new
forum. This gave the Skill Club many added features, and a new look. In exchange for this,
{SQ4}Antioch asked to be a forum moderator. Hellcat, who was unaware of his past, and simply
trusting in nature, accepted this offer.
Some people who knew about {SQ4}Antioch�s past and complained about it were either forced to
leave because of his moderator powers, or they just became fed up and left in disgust. When
anyone else�s thread questioned {SQ4}Antioch�s past, or caught him claiming credit for
stolen work, he would close the thread, so that it would be pushed off the first page and
out of sight. Other times he would hide these threads by moving them to a quieter part of
the forum. He would also send a personal message (PM) to members, warning them that he was
going to ban them. This abuse of moderator powers finally resulted in a first removal from
his moderator's position.

Part Two
The Tactics
After keeping out of trouble for a few weeks, Hellcat decided to give him another chance.
This time though, it was thought best if it was kept a secret, as some members were bound to
complain if they knew. {SQ4}Antio�h chose the name MaDCaT75, but continued to also post
under {SQ4}Antio�h. Soon, threads that caught him in a lie would be closed for no, or little
reason. {SQ4}Antio�h would post in one of these threads that it should be closed. He would
then log on as MaDCaT75, who (of course) would agree, and proceeded to close the thread.
One of the features of the Skill Club is the rate system. If you see a post you like, you
can open the rate box and award the person who made a good post a point. These points were
used in the forum 'store' where you could by such things as glowing, or custom titles. You
can't however, rate yourself to give yourself a point. As {SQ4}Antio�h had two accounts
though, he was able to log on as the moderator MaDCaT75, and then start rating his
{SQ4}Antio�h posts.
A short time later, a bug was discovered in the system, where you could rate the same post
multiple times, and he used this to its fullest advantage. You can also in the rate box
disapprove of someone�s post, and one of their points is taken away. Any members that
crossed {SQ4}Antio�h would find their hard earned point count go down to zero.
After people began to question, and suspect MaDCaT75 was really {SQ4}Antio�h, he then
switched his moderator account name to Tyrael. However, he continued to use these tactics to
give himself points, take others away, and close or move threads not to his liking.
The Tyrael account really just served as a usefull way to close threads that caught him in
his lies. For example, when {SQ4}Antio�h posted pictures from a map called CTF-Conquest,
claiming it was his own creation... once again people found out it was just another stolen
map. Those people who exposed his lies soon got a PM from his Tyrael alias, threatening them
with immediate banishment.
The Ban
His moderator powers finally came to an end when members started posting threads about
{SQ4}Antio�h abusing the point system, and Tyrael closing or moving threads. In one of
these, his secret identity was revealed , forcing Hellcat to post a thread asking for other
members opinions, and proof of {SQ4}Antio�h/Tyraels behavior. By the end of that day, the
Tyrael account was closed, and {SQ4}Antio�h was left with the single account, with no chance
of becoming a moderator again.
Less than a week later, after continually spamming threads about how he was a victim, and
that he donated the vb license, and again posting about the dead girlfriend... He even
confessed that he was all these identities and again played the victim. He even let slip
that he had given Hellcats vb license to others. This made the Hellcat license invalid, and
illegal. This resulted in a poll, asking the members of Skill Club if he should be banned.
Once Hellcat found out about the vb license, he felt rightfully betrayed... {SQ4}Antio�h was
finally banned.
{SQ4}Antio�h reacted to this by changing his ISP, and then returned to flame under a new
name. He also withdrew the (now invalid) vBulletin license, and reported it to vb as a
pirating site. Fortunately a member stepped in and donated the money for a real license.
These days, {SQ4}Antio�h badmouths the Skill Club, and all the other forums he has been
banned from, in the few forums left for him to go. Hopefully, those forum administrators can
be warned in time, before much damage is done.
How he got caught
One of the reasons he was continually caught in his lies is simply because there are a lot
of people who log onto forums, and would recognize these stolen artworks or maps. Also,
anytime you post a picture of something on a forum, you have to have it hosted on a server
somewhere in order for it to be viewed. If you right click a picture in your web browser and
select 'Properties', you will see the URL of the site it is hosted at. In the case of using
that girls picture, he simply linked directly to her site, making it easy for someone to
visit her site and inform her what was going on. At other times, he would host the pictures
on his own site, such as his signature. This made it easy to track him each time he changed
his member name. Although he would insist he had nothing to do with that other identity
(though they shared the same hosted URL) he coincidently also had a dead girlfriend.
Chat programs such as ICQ and IM also designate you a unique number, which can be seen in
the log files. His ID number remained the same in these chat programs while using the names
Kristina23, Jade, Packet �o��, -=WhiteWulf=- and {SQ4}Antio�h. Here, he would complain about
the forums to other members, or in some cases even boast about what he had done there. He
also would use the forum's Private Message (PM) system to complain to other members. These
of course, are easy to save and archive, as are taking screenshots of threads you suspect
will be deleted, and later denied.
Why keep track of all this?
Tactical Ops, Tournament.com (T-com), INA/Atari, d3fx, and Hellcat's Skill Club are by no
means the only forums he has been banned from. Forum moderators and administrators have
found that this one person alone continually drives other members away, and keeps others
from joining. Not only is the forums reputation tarnished everywhere he goes, but while he
is there he spams the boards with insults, one smiley replies, non stop 'pity me' posts, and
worst of all... taking credit for peoples hard work and effort. Truly, a forum's worst
nightmare.

I think its time I put a voice to this thread here. Bit of storytime for the non believing kiddies that are here:
The original Halo version of the pelican is aprox. 9900 polys (I should know considering that the original was provided to me along with the associated texture files), which in my own opinion (and no matter what anyone here states), is just far to high to be practical for UT2004 until the hardware is there to support the game at full spec. With this in mind I took the original and rebuilt is FROM SCRATCH using the original as a base to work from, so whilst this isn't the original, it is as close as it can be made. The texturing was done using the original texture set from the original model, but the model is my own rebuild. Also this versions poly count is a more palitable aproximate of 3000 polys.
Isn't amazing how many people jump on the bandwagon and start sprouting their **** when they don't know the full story. Also I've noticed how others seem to be of the opinion that they can make theirs known when it comes to these "other game" models being used. Its just a shame that there are a ton of hand held weapons which people don't complain about (seems to me its just a personal attack).
So anyone else want to act like a childish little brat. Man, it seems my 9 year old daughter has both more intelligence, and acts far more like an adult than certain people on this forum.
Oh and as for the pelican being unprotected, I did make the suggestion of adding a chaingun, or minigun.

I don't see anything that I have stated being factually incorrect. Some is my opinion and thus subjective of course, but I'm sure you can separate fact from opinion.
I don't need to ask permission to use assets from Unreal series games in my mods because permission is already given (read the EULA and many comments by the Epic staff on these forums that explicitly state we are allowed to use their content to make our mods). I am always very careful when I use something I did not create myself that either it is copyright free, or I have permission from the original author. I would not dream of using assets from another game without first contacting the creators of that game.

My simple point is, don't necessarily assume you know me in any way shape or form. I was asked to perform a task. Once I've completed that task I do not condone what someone has, or hasn't done, no matter what they have done. See, this is the reason why I rarely touch FPS style games. People are very quick to judge a person from one simple act. Its judging like that which causes communities to die a slow death. Perhaps you should get to know a person before you do so in future.
Agains, as for Agent Scully. Yes I read those little replies and postings concerning the person, but as I've not seen the entire picture I'm not here to judge how this person has acted, may still act. I am here to help, but it seems that this isn't welcome so I'll be taking my custom elsewhere. Its no wonder I've never released a map I've done, after seeing some of the responses that are made here.

The cargo bay could use a small gate that flips up and down, otherwise vehilces slide right out of it. We managed to fit three scorpions in the back :eek: unfortunatley they fell out one after another upon takeoff :cry:

Ok i've done a bit more research, yeah it's not the pelican, sorry for jumping to conclusions. The pelican has rounded leading wingtips and a totaly different skin (black)
The halo pelican is also a bit chubbier and stouter.

It has 3000 HP which can take alot of abuse. I might give it that ghosting feature but not sure how to hide the players as well.

Goddamn that thing is huge. Only problem with vehicles is that they fall out after takeoff. Also its turning is a little slow. Other than that it's awesome! Great work!
PS. Make the warthog regular. colors...and make sure there's a passenger seat ^_^.

To allow modders to mod Halo? The same reason that Epic provide us with UEd? That doesn't mean there aren't limitations on the allowed uses of those tools (e.g. the EULA). For the same reason that when I write code I try to make sure it is laid out and commented in such a way that anyone should be able to understand it. That doesn't mean I want anyone to just take bits of it without asking.

Thanks to the pig-headedness of Mr. Evil (arguing with Major A Payne and pissing him off) I cannot get the max file from him which means I cannot further modify the pelican in any way. So I guess the pelican will remain as it is. You can all PM Mr. Evil and thank him for his stupidity and ruining it for everyone. Thread now closed.
