What is the "flying bit"?

If you play UT2K4 and get the Lightning gun you'll notice that a grey bit in front of the gun is "flying". That's what i mean.

I've never noticed it fly at all. Do you mean floating? Flying implies that it's moving around.

I would just want someone to make the purple part of the shock rifle not purple.. that's the only thing that really turns me off about the gun. Just make it solid or something...

hidden weapons are even worse! it's just adding a texture to the LG, how hard could it be? ( it's hard for me that sux on unreal ed:noob: )

its not a texture error from wat i no uz in all the pictures iv seen there is still the floating piece on the tip the insturctional booklet even has the lightning gun with the floating piec n it but then again im really dumb so it might be a texture error any way

Its not the texture, its the model. The model has normals pointing out, so the viewing angle you get, you can see a side of the peice that you shouldn't, thus you can see thought it. You would have to edit the model to fix it.

CMan, it's a good idea  . Now i just have to learn the editor  . if anyone wonder i've got a ATI Radeon 9500 PRO/ 9700.

Im not sure if it would be easier to just rotate the LG attachment a bit, or open it up in a 3d modeling prog and then just mirror that piece so you can see both sides.

I could have use of a tutorial :sour: in unrealed only of course

Well then my suggestion is to try and take the LG model in UED, and rotate it about 10-20 degrees to the left (for R hand) this may solve the problem.
Although, I still do not see the value of doing this, but all the power to you.

There has been a lot of threads on this..
I think DrSin said it wont be fixed as it`s in a big file.
(to big to download for a stupid fix)
Just imagine it`s a magnetic force pushing it out:D
