Why cant I host a server?

I have my firewall turned off and it still doesn't work. I just black screen my friend. I tried to start a 1v1 server so i can show him the ropes of UT2004. I should test it on other games later. It mught just be only UT2004.

Yea you gotta open the right ports in your router. I cant remember the exact ones but I believe for a non-dedicated server you only need to open one. I think it may be in the readme.

The ports you want to open up are listed on the Atari Support Page (but here they are: 7777, 7778, 7779, 27902).
