I am proud to announce that the successor of DM-LKS_TrainingGrounds (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=312456) has been released. I have made it for and with the help of the Fun 'n' Games Community (http://www.fng-community.com) on whose server it is also running.

This map can help beginners to practice their aiming, shock combos and jumping skills. A demo is included in the package. View the demo by selecting Community->Demos->Play from the main menu in the game. The visuals aren't great, but that is not what the map is about. Use it in your clan or with your friends to improve your UT2004 gaming skills. Have fun!

my .demo4 file wont work...

it starts to load and then errors out, "Missing or corrupt .demo4 file".

I tried re-downloading...no luck.

The map plays fine though

They are possible..but the last jump to the platform underneath the ramp needs to be timed perfectly :up:

Thanks XOR, brilliant! There are two more jumps that you probably didn't intend making which are way more difficult than all the others. One was found by me and Anthrax (we both found it individually, but credit should go to Anthrax for finding it first). And the other was found by just me.
I'm making a demo on how to complete these jumps but it seems almost impossible to do it flawless. :weird: :cry:

Here's an explanation:
Lamp jumping. In the jump room there are lamps below the ceiling. Yes, it's possible to jump those lamps. First, get to the Super Shield, take out your shield gun and shield jump to one of the lamps. Then do a wall jump (note: Jump - Dodge - Jump NOT jump - jump - dodge) to the next lamp. The corners are far longer and much more difficult, but they are possible.
The second jump is a looong wall dodge. Get to the platform below the Damage Amp. The one after the Super Shield. From there you gotta jump to the first "obstacle" in the jump course thing. The trick is to jump off the edge and do the wall jump a bit later than usual.

I have made a special version of this map that the Fun 'n' Games Community (http://www.fng-community.com) is using on its server. It turns off all damage. The reason I made this version is that on a public server, it is almost impossible to do jump practices without somebody trying to turn it into a frag-fest. This map isn't made for regular DM, and turning damage off proved very useful to prevent that. So, if you are running this map on a server and are experiencing the same frustrations, I encourage you to download the ND version. If you have only used this map to practice offline or have a passworded server, you probably don't need it.
