Name: TeamOverlay
Version 1.0
Compatability UT2004 version 3204+ (Patch 1)
Description:Team Overlay is a HUD Mutator for UT2004 to help enhance teamplay. It shows critical details about your team mates in team games - such as CTF, Team Deathmatch, Onslaught, Assault, Double Domination and Bombing Run.

While some details are available without the mutator (either by focusing your crosshairs on a team mate, or by looking at the scoreboard) they aren't presented in a format that is best for the team game player who needs to be able to get all the information with as little effort as possible. This mutator aims to fix that. The mutator is customisable for size/colour and placement.
Comments:RC1 of this mutator was released two weeks ago, a few small fixes and optimisations have been incorporated and a feature request for moving the overlay horizontally has been implemented. I didn't really get much in the way of bug reports for RC1 so here we go for a version 1.0 (and an attempt in the MSUC)

it looks to be the exact same as the overlay in UTcomp v3

Actually UTComp v1.3 has a limited subset of the features of this mute - and if you read the credits for UTComp - Lotus gave me credit for the design (originally I think he was originally going to slip this into UTComp directly but he rewrote portions that took advantage of what was in UTComp already)

Pretty much every mutator that does something on the client needs to be running on the server. So you need a server to be running it and have it active for it to work. This is especially true in this mutators case, as some information required to work properly needs to be sent from the server to the client.

I have installed this mutator and configured the color and so on but i can't see this field with the health or so
WHY??

You need to be in a team game like Team DM, CTF etc and have more than just yourself in the team
The Server needs to have the mutator activated (or you need to activate it yourself if you are playing instant action)
You may need to Toggle the overlay on/off first time around.

If you've done all these things - please tell me how you're trying to start the game (Gametype, etc)

I have tested it in TDM and Onslaught in an "instant action" game. With 3 bots. I have activated the Mutator in the Mutator list before i start the game. I have also tried tried to toggle it on but it doesn't works.
I have also downloaded the *.zip and installed it manual.
It also doesn't works in a LAN game.

I don't know why but know it works but i have changed nothing.

This is very curious Avenger - I'll do a reinstall of UT and then the mutator to double check things... Were you running other mutators at the time?

Edit: I deleted my UT2004 directory, reinstalled UT2004, installed the 3204 patch and then downloaded the Teamoverlay utmod from the site and installed it.

I then started a game of Instant Action Team Death match with 8 bots and the overlay added as a mutator and it worked.

On the UT2004mods mailing list there have been some reports of some mods breaking regular UT - I have no idea if this was the cause but it seems to indicate to me that there isnt an immediate problem with Teamoverlay, its installation method or the way it runs (although perhaps it doesnt play nice with other mutators or gametypes - however I tried to ensure that it a friendly thing and didnt butcher things)
End Edit

If anyone else has tried and has a problem with it please let me know.
