Using MayaPLE

I was just wondering how you use the export function with MayaPLE that came on disc 6 for UT2k4. I have already installed the plugin, but the help file doesn't seem to work.

Any help would be awesome!

The Helpfile will work, but it doesn't always from Maya's Help(haven't a clue as to why).Go to the following directory: C:\Documents and Settings\<<current User>>\My Documents\maya\5.0PLE\docs\UT2004 Help

All the Help files are there, open Index.html

The help files are actually quite vague... I'd really recommend doing whatever's necessary to get your hands on the 3Dbuzz VTMs that cover Maya use for UnrealEd.

www.masteringunreal.com - a site of buzz's and there are VTM's and online classes for making static meshes etc. within maya\max

or just www.3dbuzz.com

has allot of other VTM's for pretty much everything. supprised you dont know about it!

The VTM's can't help you setup the Plugin for MayaPLE 5, they used 4.0 which was quite different.

Either the files are missing or it didn't come with it. Is disk 6 supposed to have the files and the program? And are they automaticly installed when you install the game? I think that i got it from maya.com awhile back in the ut2003 days. All i kno is that i have Maya PLE 5.0 installed on my computer from somewhere. Help!!!

It probably gets installed with the version that comes with UT2k4, might not be Installed until the Plugin is installed. Try uninstalling what you have now(old MayaPLE) and Install it off the CD and install the Plugin as well.

Thanks!!! One thing is wrong i can't find it on my disks. Which one is it on? i only have the PLAY disk and 5 other disks. Is that a good thing or bad? :cry: HELP!!!!(again) This is hopefully the last thing that is going to go wrong.

It's in the Extras directory of the Play Disk.
