We do have one, but it's not listed on our forum right now, and I can't remember the server it's on:) It does exist though, and will be posted on our site today. ut-2k4.com is our homepage.

By this I take it you either see yourself as quite immature also, or you're just arrogant enough to consider yourself the sole exception.. If mature players exist, which they do, it's quite likely they frequent these boards as well, being that they're run by the very company which makes the game so beloved to them. And what better place is there? Certainly not other clan servers.

well, I registered for the forums and stuff. It looks like you changed a couple things on the site (?) :weird: Maybe I'm getting stuff confused.
Haven't been playing at all lately. I should be able to play some more after mid June.

Never ever write "mirc" again when you mean "irc", mirc is just a irc-client. Thank you.

what game types do you play?
We're looking for clans with similar interest to do an occasional organized friendly scrimmage with in ONS.
Feel free to come play our server (see sig) and pm me if interested.

Obviously there are some people who don't use some progams as much as others, but we have lot's of contact options. There is a link in my sig. to our web site. All we ask is that you treat everyone with respect. We just want to enjoy the people were in the community with. We may be a new community and clan, and we may not be the best players, but most of us have had experience as leaders or members in previous clans, and know we just want to have fun and enjoy the people we deal with. So stop by if your interested. You dont have to be a member of the clan to be a member of our community. Take it easy guys, and we hope to see you around.

i was interested at first, but then i saw 20 somethings. i thought you meant mature like the clan old men online, though i don't believe they play ut2004.

It's all about attitude. If you can handle yourself in a respectful, mature manner, then we don't have a problem with age. You should check out the site and read the rules. We'd love to talk to you. I've added an update on what we plan on doing with regards to younger players today. It might make you feel better. The oldest so far is 49, with most players 28-30.

I have found that clans that don't ask the members to practice / play regularly end up with a long roster but no players.
I'm not quite sure what the aim of your clan is. Usually clans play competitively on ladders or "invade" pubs for the heck of it-- It sounds like your tag is nothing more than a "secret handshake" Freemason style... but has no other significance.
Is this club around simply because you get sick of the "OMG you sux0rs" types?

We look at it like this...we have lives out side of this game, and they come first. We do have practices, and we actually play almost every night...if you can make it, great if not, no big deal. We're more about like minded and respectful players than anything else. So yeah, maybe at this point it's more of a 'secret handshake'. We do plan on comp at some point soon, and for that people who can make it, make it. The clan we were in before was rediculously demanding of meetings and practices, and still hasn't gotten anywhere beyond what it was when we left. Look, we figure people like the game enough to want to sign up, so they must be playing it anyway. That's good enough for us at this point.

To be in a clan certainly does not mean you "have" to play competitively or be a competitive player. Being in a clan means that you have the same interests as the other people in the same group thats all. It's the clan leaders that make the decisions for the clan on what they should be or shouldn't be. To be quite honest with you there are a lot of clans that aren't competitive or are on a hiatus from playing. I personally have been in 4 clans since UT99 and formed 2 myself and only 1 has ever really been considered competitive.
Like we have stated over and over before, This club is around because we like to have fun when we play our games and we have the same interests in the game as everyone else. We know there are a lot of others that are losing interest in playing because they aren't enjoying the game the way they had hoped for whatever reason. So this is where we come in, if you feel like having some fun again and meeting some great people that have the same interest in the game as you please come and join us and I hope we can all put back some enjoyment back into the game... after all isn't this what gaming is supposed to be all about anyway.
In closing I would just like to point out a remark that I think has a lot of merit to it that someone made here a while back...
'"Oh jesus christ. Get over yourself. A "Competitive UT player" is like a "competitive masturbater". You spend a lot of time pleased with yourself without accomplishing anything. -- Derisor
