in ut 99 demo i was very impressed and i want to get the game... only problem is that wen i go to internet it tells me: timeout, master server cannot be reached" somthing like that. is this because no one else is playing the demo or sumthing rong with my internet?

I may be wrong but it maybe the demo support is off line now just do a check of the settings.
But i do know support for the full version is still online but again im not sure how long that will last.

I was playing the other day and there were thosands of servers so I think its your end.

the master server which kinda keeps a list of all the servers, was down some time ago
it was up yesterday :confused:

i just tested the full version and its fine ;) just going to install the demo and check support for that

sorry i could'nt post before i was busy for a few mins but im getting 19 servers on the demo

Nah me sorry to im just tired and a ut fan is a ut fan so its not a problem to help him out ;)
Something happened with the UT master server several weeks ago. Some people see the problem, some don't, but here's the fix:
In your unrealtournament.ini file find:
bHidden=True and bFallbackFactories=True
Replace those with bHidden=False and bFallbackFactories=False
That will fix it.

Evidently not, considering that people are still having problems.
Edit: You're right. I just had a chance to test it. Plus, I didn't do a very good job of reading the OP's post... he is obviously having a different problem.

Unreal is still online. Do not think UT is going anywhere.
