Other games (eg CoD, MoH) have some form of max_fps, I've searched the forums a few times and can't see any mention of one...

Is there a frame limit variable?

I'd like to cap my FPS at around 50, higher than vsync (in ATI control panel) which limits to 30, if that's possible

why would you want to?

To guard against FPS drops

My comp can go up to 90 in some places, and drops as low as 25 in others (mostly depending on map, gametype etc)

If I cap at ~50 then they won't be as noticable

For online play, the framerate is capped at netspeed/64, with a max of 85. But there is no explicit cap-command, and you don't want to set netspeed to low since that will result in packet loss and bad online play.
