hi!
i hope this is the right palce to post this.

anywhoo, i was thinking it should not be to hard to make a Renegade game mode. bascally you (like in C&C renegade) destroy the other teams entier base. when the vehicle production facility (air strip / warfactory) is destroyed the vehicle spawn places are removed. if the barraks / HON is destryoed, advanced weapon spawn places are removed. the entire money aspect could just be ignored. its mostly about the vehicles, the weapons, and the maps.

if anyone is intersted.. please post.

I have never made a mod, so i have no clue how you do such a thing. If 2 ppl find each other here that wanna do it.. fine with me. i just want the idea to get to the mod community

Money gone from Renegade? Psht. What's the fun in that? I'd like to map or model for a Mod like that :D Maybe if you could get some to organize it and such, we'd have a nice mod going on!

well we could have money too... i just thought it be easier.... wich it is.. :P

but i dont really want to do a tc mod, since i never really like the ones for 2k3.. so i dont know if its possible to do in just a game mode. i hope so though. we need some one with some uscript skillz :P

Please oh please someone make this a reality. I would like nothing more than to have a Renegade Mod for this game. Renegade was the greatest game, ever! Well maybe not but I thought it was damned fun when I played it.

I actually made a map like this once while brainstorming in UnrealEd. It was technically an Assault map, but both teams started in separate bases on opposite sides of the map. Each base had a "barracks", a "power plant", and a "vehicle factory," with turrets and walls around the perimeter of the whole thing. Each building had a "core," and if that core was destroyed, the building went offline.

Losing the barracks meant losing a great snipe spot spawn and a well-loaded weapon locker. Losing the factory meant losing all vehicles. Losing the power plant meant losing the Raptor and Goliath (even if the factory was still working), plus half the turrets and all of the turret consoles would go offline. Losing all three buildings meant game over.

I never got all the bugs worked out because I abandoned it long before an alpha version to make time for another project, so it never had quite all of the functionality I'd planned on. There was no resource collection and no bot compatibility ("attacker" bots would shoot their own cores). It also didn't have Superweapon beacons like C&C.

However, I'm confident that something simple like this could still be done in a real map, and probably without a mutator. You just need to use some fancy ScriptedTriggers.
