Just a quick gametype idea I've been thinking about thats a cross between Unreal and GTA.
Basically each team starts out with a set of vehicles at their base and the objective is to go out and steal the other teams vehicles. Each team also has a compound where the stolen vehicles have to be taken to. The winner is the team that gets all the enemies vehicles into their compound first (or whoever has stolen the most when the time limit hits).
To make the game flow better I think that when you destroy a vehicle it should respawn in the same place it was destroyed (rather than back at base). So to hijack an enemy car you firstly blow it up to kill the driver, then when it respawns you try to jump in before someone else. The only problem is if the vehicle gets stuck somewhere or falls off the map, in those cases it'll have to respawn back at the base.
The compounds could just be an area or wormhole on the map (one for each team). And when you drive a stolen vehicle into/through it then it becomes permanently locked (or just disappears from the map).
It'd also be cool if someone designed some GTA themed maps and vehicles for this gametype. The lack of decent multiplayer modes in the GTA games was always a disappointment.
Does this sound like a playable game type? Im considering learning a bit of uscript, so I might start working on this if people think its a good idea.
