On my server the players are really dark....is there a way to brighten them up? Client side , server side?

That's a client side setting.

Look in the settings, display section of the game gui. (Brightness, Gamma, Contrast)

nothing there specific to playerskins

There is a bBrightskins seting in the ut2004.ini, that is defaulted on.

Just searched all ini's...no brightskin anywhere...this is 2k4 im running now

Client side brightskins are hacks and are detected by UTSecure.

Use server-side skins.

Just install TCMv1a: http://download.fasterfiles.com/upload/k/tcmv1a.zip
