How about a game type solely based around the goliath?
Huge outdoor maps with nothing but goliaths in them. Full on tank on tank carnage!

Just choose the Goliath for the Vehicile Arena mut. Or did you have something else in mind?

If a tank mod would be built, I think there definetly has to be some work done with the goliath. It looks great against infantry, but against tanks, it crap to play. *bang* Bang* Bang* Bang* *boom*. 1st tank that gets a shot off = winner. There has to be some strategic component.

ive got an idea
in addition to the goliath have
1)smaller tanks with less armour, but they go really fast
2)hover tanks
3)flying tanks
4)mammoth tanks(seats like 5 guys and is basically rolling death)
ill get started on the modeling right away!!!

Some cool ideas being thrown around!
BTW, where can I find this Vehicle Arena mut? Is it in the CL4 mut?

Ahhh, i was actually thinking more along the lines of a gametype dedicated to vehicular warfare actually.

To add some depth simulate armor thickness by halving damage for hits on front and doubling it for hit on rear. Maybe for tank mounted weapons only though. This way the tank battles will involve trying to flank the enemy while avoiding being flanked.
