I need some help opening the right ports so that I can play UT online. I've never done this before so I'm not sure how to do it, or what ports I'm supposed to open. Some one please help.

I had the same problem,
I know the ports are 7777, 7778, 7779, 27902 and 7787 (UDP).
If you make a server open 27900 (TCP/IP) I think.
To open them, refer to your firewall help, if you have one.

Those were the ports that I posted. It's usually not that hard to enable them. Go into your firewall, add a rule to let in those ports.

i opened ports 7777, 7778, 7779 and 27902 that were listed on the atarisupport page for opening ports on your router or firewall. are these 4 ports the only ports i need opened to host my own game?

I think you also need to open 27900 (TCP/IP) to host your own game.
