Hello!
I am *just* getting into learning to make UT2004 levels (thanks to the cool videos in the SE) and I have a question for those of you with more experience in editing:
How do you manage the textures? Perhaps an explanation would help... In the default 2004 install, there are bazillions of textures available amongst all of the packages. Many of them are categorized so that the package name is somewhat indicative of the contents, but I am still spending lots of time browsing through all of the textures to find the one I want. Of course, there are package names that (at least to me) don't indicate anything about their contents (DEbonus or something like that for example).
So, this got me to thinking that it would be cool to have a little book showing the textures just for reference (like the old clip-art packages used to come with) but I figured there must be some other way that you level editors are "staying organized" and efficiently finding textures for your levels. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike
