Adding songs to playlist crashes ut2004 in linux

Everytime I try to add a .ogg file to the playlist, ut2004 flickers and then crashes. I am using gentoo 1.4. Anybody else having a similar problem?

The music player in the linux port is known to be no good at the moment, so says icculus ( www.icculus.org ), aka Rick Gordon , who is one of the people responsible for the linux port of ut2k4. The bug has been reported, and with any luck the forthcoming linux patch will fix it.

Kinda sucks since I myself want to use some custom music as well without replacing the included oggs, but such is life, best we can do is wait for the patch. :)

I've beem unable to add any files at all to my play list, even if I point it to the correct path where I have the files, I see none listed.
