View Full Version : i can`t hear anything via mic help ?

i got a P4 2.8 G with a asus P4P800 deluxe board with 1G of dd4 400 with 800Fsb i got a 60 G HD / one 120SATA MAxtor /
a 80G WD . A all in wonder 9700 pro ati card AGP/ xfx 32m PCI/
xfx 64m PCI with a LG +/- RW dvd writer / a LG 16x player/
a sound blaster audigy 2 ZX GAMER SOUNDCARD/a ENERMAX 460w power suply.
My problem is that i am running the server from my own computer.
And i am also playing unreal in the server at the same time.
my problem is that i cannot hear any audio . from anybody in my server , but if i go to somewere else and try to chat sometimes i can hear , everyone can hear me in my server and other servers but i can`t hear anybody .
just sometimes.
can somebody help me please i might of not put the correct ports.
but people join so i guess i am ok,
but if somebody can tell me what ports i need open i got a smc router. i will be greatfully thankfull. or just any sugestions .

if it sounds like they get cut in and out, when they talk, or sometimes you cant hear them at all, then you might want to change your audio settings in ut2004.

Its a known problem where if you have on hardware 3d audio or hardware 3d audio+eax, then you will not be able to hear other people talking on voice chat. You will need to change your ut2004 settings to 3d audio (which is software) then you should be able to hear them.

We've found that if you're a listen server for any lan games, then you won't be able to hear audio from mics, and no one can hear anything from you either (I think..It's been a long time since last friday night when we got the game!!).

One of the things we're hoping they fix with patch 1.a
