Outrageous Ping... 800+...

For some reason, UT2K4 is pinging all servers at either "?" or 800+. Entering the game results in the same problem. This is rather strange, considering I've played several other internet-heavy games with relative ease (FFXI, SWG, CS). I'm pretty sure my system is not the problem, but here goes:

Windows XP Pro
P4 2.4 Processor
ASUS Motherboard
ATI Radeon 9700
512 RD Ram
40 GB HDD
Sound Blaster Audigy

I'm on a campus LAN, it's a T1.

I've already tried downgrading video effects/resolution. Single player runs like an angel. Anyone else having this problem? Any help would be great.

I'm having this problem as well, except it's on the demo (I don't have full game yet).

I join a server and my ping starts at anywhere from 40 to 200. Then from there it quickly climbs to 999 and stays around the range.

Annoying. It didn't do this before.

Still happening... tried some bandwidth tweaking programs, but the connection was unaffected. Going to bed... hopefully things will work in the morn.
