Two mutators -
A. InstaGibONS: Super Shock / LinkGun hybrid for nozoom play.
B. InstaZoomONS: Uses the stock linkgun as the alt fire is now zoom.

The SSR/LinkGun hybrid automatically regenerates ammo, so no need for ammo pickups.
Fixed Epic's Zoom Bug.

very nice! all the Ons mut needs is the link gun and it would be set.

Ya I've still got to add the the Sheild Gun and the Link.

I just wanted to get something released today for our servers. Plus it would be nice to take a quick break and actually play the game.

I've been busy with the XxxX Lightning Gun mutator aswell.

I know there are enough ppl that will eventually want to play some LG/IG ONS. With the vehicle damage scaling it's almost a practical gametype. I'm still a little shocked epic didn't release it.

I'll add up the link and the sheild after some sleep.

I was bummed they moved the point of veiw around on the Classic Shock Model. So it's right back where it was in 2k3.

Very cool! Are you familiar with InstaVape? It adds a secondary shock like explosion to each hit and burns the victim to a skeleton instead of gibbing. It's very popular on my UT2003 server. Any chance of adding these effects to your mutator? If you want to see it in action visit my server:

Actually it's safer in a vehicle because you can't get instagibbed.

I took out the avrils to provide balance. If you're on foot you can get sniped. It didn't make sense to get avriled the second u take cover in a vehicle.

If you're in a vehicle, fighting a pedestrian it's no different then fighting a player with a shock rifle. It's actually safer as he doesn't have the shock core.

Did I set out to ruin ONS for everyone? NO. It's just a byproduct of our DM Instagib mutator. If you played 140 LG/IG at all u may enjoy it. If not no big deal..

It even has a home in 2004 stats :]

We’ve played some good games with this Mut.
It's definitely a change of pace.

We set this up on one of our servers last night and played it a bit at 135/35 LG. Gameplay was very good. There were only a few minor details we found irritating (e.g. crosshair selection, the clan advertise every time you switch to the ESR.) All this talk about vehicles not being "fun" with instagib is just the same ol' tired whining heard with every UT release.

Definitely no need for avrils, especially with zoom IG. Nice job Zero1 :up:

hey thnx .. ya next update I'll cut back on the spam.

In game go to, settings > weapons > Uncheck, Use Custom Crosshairs. Now select the one u want.

Everything has a default custom crosshair in 2004. I figured I'd just use a hand me down from the shock rifle.

I'll try disabiling the default custom crosshairs in next update.

The zoom bug is bumming me out. It's inherited from the bug in epics instagib.

If u zoom then strafe jump and continue to fire. The client side beam repositions to your first zoom point of veiw. .. bites
