Since the search function is not working today, how does one adjust the game speed similar to UT99? (hardcore 120% for example), I never ran a UT2003 server, so I dont know how to do it, I cannot find anything in the Xwebadmin or ini file, or no options for the commandline.

Thanks!

under [Engine.GameInfo]

GameSpeed=1.000000

set to 1.2 for 120%

That setting made no difference for the server game speed, it ran at normal speeds regardless of that setting. I need the one that sets the server game speed.

Thanks

For UT2003 the gamespeed can be set for non dedicated/dedicated from the games interface menu options. Or...

For the dedicated server the parameters need to be added to the command line and/or the addition made to the ini.

You have to activate the change some how as the server boots either by prestaging the games interface or adding it to the command line parameters.

?GameSpeed=1.20?

That addition needs to be in your commandline somewhere!

Example:
CTF-Chrome?Game=XGame.xCTFGame?GameSpeed=1.20?WeaponSt ay=True?Translocator=True?FriendlyFireScale=0.00?G oalScore=3?TimeLimit=15?MaxLives=0?AllowThrowing=T rue?RedTeam=xgame.TeamRedConfigured?BlueTeam=xgame .TeamBlueConfigured?MinPlayers=4?GameStats=False?B alanceTeams=False?MaxPlayers=6?MaxSpectators=0?Adm inName=XXXXXX?AdminPassword=XXXXXX?AllowBehindview =True?difficulty=1 -server -log=Server.log

UT2004 does not use this style now. It has a special Gamespeed mutator that you can set. The UT2004 ini still shows the parameter as 1.00 in [Engine.Gameinfo] but will not affect the game. It must be set within the new mutator function..

For UT2003 ucc/bat/free dedicated ect I would add the ?GameSpeed=1.20? to the command line and also set the [Engine.GameInfo] to GameSpeed=1.20 then boot the server.;)

You will know if it is working because you will see it listed in the running server console in the init: command line and also Scriptlog:

First you say you doing a UT2003 and never done one before.

Now you saying your doing a UT2004 server??

What are you actually running UT2003 or UT2004 or UT2004DEMO? Is it windows or linux or ??

And what style of server are you running? Is it from the games interface or is it ucc ect ect? :weird:

ut2004...go to current game/mutators...enable gamespeed..and restart level..you now have an added pick on the Default/Game tab..for setting gamespeed

Linux free dedicated UT2004 demo! LOL...

That would have been nice to know from the start since none of the thread responses here now up until this point will help you!

For your linux free dedicated server the gamespeed will remain at 1.00. Theres a altered Engine.dll which I used for my windows version UT2004Demo and some additional casherecords data but I doubt that it will help you and your Linux version so!

Good Luck...
