Weapon Skinning.....

Im stuck. I look at these gun models in Red Orchestra and Frag Ops and they are REALLY good. I have a gun model and the UvMap.

So my question is how do the get the textures so good on the weapon?


I know the gun isnt the greatest but i want to learn how to do this before i do anything more complicated.

EDIT: The pictures are a little scewed because I recently reformatd and havent gotten aroung to installing frontpage so i had to guess there size while writing the html.
