This is my first post on these here Gears forums!

I am the founder of the 'Laid Back Killers' a UK based clan for anyone over the age of 18 who live in the United Kingdom. Our clan is relatively new in the scale of things, just signed up to Gamebattles Gears 1 ladders, yet to play a match, but looking forward to it. We draw community experience from having members (including myself) who have participated in running successful clan events in the past, mine was notibly winning the X-360 magazine RB6:Vegas tournament back in the day, and my fellow clan mates reaching the final of the same magazines tournament on Gears 1. I am posting this recruitment topic for the Gears of War Division of Tactical Gaming.

Tactical Gaming is a military structured clan gaming community. We have existed since 2004 and have many divisions across different platforms.

But I'm here for the Gears of War Division. We proudly play the game that is most everyone in our divisions favorite xbox live game. So there is alot of passion. We will be around all through the rest of Gears 2 and all of Gears 3.

Anyone who joins TG should know a few things. No matter what your skill level you will have the opportunity to play gamebattles with us. We have different squads for different skill levels, so everyone is happy.

Also when you join TG there is no requirement at all to change your gamertag. You can keep it as is. Your are also permitted to leave at any time, whether the reason be lack of time for a clan or something else, without any drama. In TG we do not support trash talk and do not allow it. If we are trash talked we let our skill do the talking.

Also if you look at the North American Rosters on our site for Gears division you will see they are a little empty. Well that's for 2 reasons. We recently had to remove alot of people from our clan for being very disgusting and trying to ruin our forums. Who Are We?

Lethal Apprehension (LA) is a Xbox 360 clan founded by EpicNightTerror and lead by DreadedNytemare & TheSkinanator. We're a group of friends that have known each other for a very long time, and while we enjoy playing socially with random people on matchmaking. We all have that competitive drive in ourselves that makes want to be part of a dedicated team where we can actually plan out and execute strategies. After much thought and consideration we decided that it would be more productive if we were to start up a small team and find some more players that we can rely on. Because even the most dedicated player gets fed up with random people given enough time, how can we improve as a small group when the opposing team is running through the randoms and forcing us to fend from all fronts. So that's the idea behind our group is to find other people who although aren't necessarily the best players have that same drive to learn and improve themselves and have fun at the same time.



Games Played?

We're primarily a Gears of War 2 team, we play it both competitively and socially. On the off days we all play Battlefield Bad Company 2 socially, although we're rather good at it. It just doesn't have the competitive community of Gears.



Why Join Our Team?

Well that's more or less an answer you'll have to come up with on your own, what I can say are the positive sides of joining are that we're all close friends so. A.) There's No Drama. Then take into the fact that you only need 4 people to be considered a team so B.) it's not like you have to consider the possibility of us disbanding. The leadership style is very relaxed while we do have a dedicated 'leader' the entire team votes or discusses everything that involves the team from practice methods to rules and regulations it's all open to criticism.

Background

Tactical Gaming (TG) founder, TG Biggy, discovered his passion for video gaming dating back to the Atari 2000. He followed the evolution of the industry by playing all types of games on all platforms.

His first multiplayer experience was in college while playing Duke Nukem 3D PC (1996) with his friends in class. The seed was planted...

His real first online experience was around the end of the 1990's. Soon after, the desire for teamwork and tactics followed. As years past, the different PC based communities he was part of allowed him to cleary define what he enjoyed and was looking for.

In 2004, he started to notice the explosion of online gaming on consoles (XBOX & PS2). It's at that point the vision and mission where created.


Vision & Mission

We believe that regardless of origin, nationality, age, gender, race, religious beliefs or creed, disrespectful behaviour towards one another is unacceptable. The same belief is applied to gaming. With the notion that so many people share the common passion for video games, the vision and mission is to bring together like-minded gamers from around the globe and from multiple platforms, to provide them head quarters (web site) where they could share their backgrounds, experience, and interests in teamwork and tactics, as well as providing them with an environment that allows a "friends-first" experience.


The Birth

The community was created in November 2004 under the Tactical Warfare (TW) banner supporting warfare based games only. The growth of the community not only brought together like-minded gamers from all over the world, but members with amazing skills such as leadership, computer graphics and technical skills that enable us to provide a gaming experience like no other.


Tactical Gaming (TG)

In September 2008 we experienced a major restructure that allowed us to better meet our member's needs. By re-branding ourselves to Tactical Gaming (TG), it allowed us to support multiple franchises of different genres which include the established TW franchise and the creation of Tactical Sports (TS) to support sports based games.


Future

I will start by introducing who I am and what our team goal is and individual goals are.

I'm Apologician, one of the co-leaders of the team. I've been on the forums under the name of UND3RxOATH, throughout the past few years I've been more known as a reader and not a poster but I'm wanting to change that. I've been playing Gears of War since Emergence Day (http://www.360-hq.com/article1234.html), 2006. At that time I was under the name of "CHAOTICxPHOENIX" but am no longer. I've had multiple tags throughout the years but I've stuck to a few recent gamertags such as (x Forensics, UND3RxOATH, and DR3AMxCATCHER). I have a few friends who are late starters but not too late, BeMyFrand who started playing Gears in 2007 and Flekeldanzar who started playing back in 2009. We three all live near each other but we never knew of each other until our friends introduced us to each other based on our "skill" in games. Luckily, the three of us have all become good friends and are looking to make some noise with a few other people when it comes down to Gears of War. BeMyFrand and Myself, Apologician, have participated in a local Gears of War 2 tournament taking first place and have also done some Gamebattles in the past for Gears of War 1. aTs Harbinger/DenyThisFlesh, our fourth member, has done Gamebattles in Gears of War 2. We have all been playing with each other for the majority of the past 2/4 years but have wanted to increase our efforts for Gears of War 3.

We have decided to make a team named, "AT THE SKYLINE" for Gears of War 3. We all believe gaming and Gears of War is one of strongest talents and we want to take advantage of our talents. Our goal is to be successful and learn from everything possible. We are striving to make Gears of War a stronger community by being more involved such as some of the older members here and to allow everyone to fit in. What game types are you guys focusing on? We are focusing on Team Deathmatch and King Of The Hill. We believe these will be the two gametypes that will be the most competitive. We will play all gametypes just some more than others. We are hoping there is some sort of "MLG" playlist that comes out and has a grab-bag/players choice often inside of it.

What are you guys looking for? A player who has a microphone and is willing to talk. We want everyone to feel open to talking to us and we will show you respect if you approach us. We are here to help but we are looking for players who will mesh in with the team we already currently have. Someone who fits into our time schedule and is going to be dedicated and never be negative.

Inglorious is a newly formed mature clan for Gears of War 3.

Well, that pretty much sums up our current situation, in actual fact Inglorious is lead by two gamers who have been playing together for the past 3 years, I have personally lead a number of clans and guilds across a range of platforms and games but have had to drop out of the 'clan scene' in recent months due to a lack of time.

With Gears 3 on the horizon however and with more time on my hands once again we decided it was the right time to get back into the competitive side of gaming. Inglorious is a Gears 3 team solely at the moment, that's not to say that we won't support other games once we're more established, but to start with we felt that it was wise to not overdo it and attempt to build up numerous divisions/rosters and instead focus on a single game - Gears.

Gears of War 3 is just around the corner and with it, the WGL is bringing you the best Gears league in the UK.

The WGL’s Gears team, have been hard at work brainstorming ideas and putting them into motion to provide that stable and fun league structure, which the community has come to expect from the WGL.

That being said, we are confident that you’ll find no other league which offers you a rich and varied Gears of War 3 multiplayer experience, whilst catering for both Die-Hard Gears veterans and newcomers alike!

To kick us off, there will be two available leagues in season 1.

- 5v5 Execution League(s)
The tried and tested competitive format for Gears of war

- 5v5 Mixed Modes League(s)
A mix of the various game modes available for Gears of War 3

Depending on the number of competing teams the leagues will be split into divisions to try and ensure games remain fun and competitive.

Now for those all important dates:

* 3rd October * - Registrations will open
* 12th October * - Registrations will then close
* 17th October * - League launch

During these periods, it will allow for the admins and just as importantly the community, to get to grips with the game.
So overall we get a better understanding of what will and won’t work. We gain the benefit of more feedback from you guys. But most importantly, we achieve a more successful league in the long term.

From the beta and knowing what worked in GOW 1 and 2, we’ve formed the basis of a rule set. Nothing has been set in stone until after game release and a period of testing.
Those familiar with the WGL will know that the admins listen to community feedback and amend/update rules as necessary.

Are you looking to join or challenge a mature Australian / New Zealand Clan?
Well look no further – Let me introduce you to The Downunder Squadron (TDUS). Perhaps you’ve already heard of us, as our name is spreading within our nations.
We are a Gears of War 3, Halo Reach and Battlefield 3 Clan?
We’re a well established, mature (18+ yrs of age) group individuals who formed TDUS out of the love of gaming and as a way of getting the most out of the games we enjoy playing. Nothing better than teaming up with a great bunch of blokes who know each other well and know each other’s style of play – not to mention having the bonus of always having people in your friends list that are online ‘often’ thus you always have members to call upon (especially in regards to our core games: Halo Reach, Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3.
We offer a Head Quarters (our own website), a Field Manual (reference material), In-house ranking system, In-house competitions, regular clan battles and inter clan competitive play. We are also about to add ourselves to the ranks of Cybergamer in Halo Reach, all going well I’d like to do the same with GOW3. Unfortunately BF3 is a bit of a failure regarding this, as there are no private matches available on consoles, but if it eventuates then we’ll be there without hesitation.
We are a capped clan, which means we’ll stop recruiting once we hit 60 members (20 for each primary game), we’re currently sitting around the 40 member mark and are focused on increasing GOW players first followed closely by more Halo REACH players. We’ll take a few more BF players at this stage, but our BF numbers are already very strong.
We’re not very serious in general terms, but we take gaming seriously (as in we don’t dick about when challenging other clans, but if we lose we congratulate the opposing team, learn from our mistakes, train and endeavour to beat them upon our rematch), we have quite a bit of skill amongst our ranks – plenty of players are well above me in the stats department (Although I am the leader of the Clan and started it from scratch, my passion stems more from having a successful Clan as a whole – rather than just myself being the best that I can be at a single game, I bounce around ALL our 3 primary games and concentrate on all the behind the scenes work that keeps our clan strong and thriving).

We’re not just an Australian and New Zealand ONLY clan, we have people from the USA and UK whom do shift work, thus they are usually playing when we are (thus the time zone suits them).
