Well I'm a SUPER noob at Servers but I try to keep all 3 of our Clans running. (lol) There are a lot of L33T Server Admins that hang around here. No one jumped on this so let me share my input.

Anyways I had this same problem and not that this is your problem by any means. I just wanted to share what I found out on our Clans Server.

I found that our Server Run Bat. file had this command in it:

@echo off
:10
ucc.exe server DM-Compressed.ut2?Game=xgame.xteamgame?Translocator=F alse
-log=server.log
copy server.log servercrash.log
goto 10

We changes edited this and changed it to True restarted the Server and all ok now.

Hope this helps like I said I'm a real NOOB anyways.

Does the "InstaGib Instant-kill " mod allow the Translocator?

I had this problem. Translocator wouldn't work with instagib, but it DOES with zoom instagib.

I too am having a problem getting the Translocator to show up in a gametype that loads the instagib riffle such as CTF.

Does anybody know a work arround for this or has it working and can shed some light how to get it setup properly?

I am runing a dedicated server via 'bat' file and then after it starts in default deathmatch mode, i have the in game ut2004 mapvoter setup for the differnt gametypes with difernt mutators assigned to each.

I have made sure that in webadmin the Translocator is enabled for the particular gametypes and have even set '?Translocator=True' in the options line of the Game Votingconfig line.

But i still cant seem to get it to work, not with the instagib riffle being loaded as a mutator anyway.

Any ideas?
eXo

Hi,
As I mentioned above, the translocator does not seem to be available with plain instagib. If you use ZOOM-instagib then you will be able to select and use it. With plain instagib the setting is ignored, no matter how many places you select it.

I spent quite a while looking for answers on this and I'm 99.9% certain that is the only way.

Good luck!

Find the following entry in your UT2004.ini:

[XGame.MutInstaGib]
bAllowTranslocator=False
bAllowBoost=False

If it's not there, copy and paste the above into your .ini and change bAllowTranslocator=True, which will let you use normal instagib+trans. Works for me. ;)

Yep I finally found that setting too in the ini file. That will allow you to have the Translocator when ever you use the Instagib mutator.

Only one prob with that though, it seems as if it's an 'all or nothing sort of affair'. Any game type you then use the Instagib mutator in will also have the Translocator.

So in my case, I wanted CTF Instagib with a Translocator but at the same time I wanted TDM Instagib with no Translocator. Simply using the above mentioned method makes you have the Translocator in both game types.

So the work around I found was to download an install Wormbo's Instagib Mut with UT2K3 Sound (http://www.koehler-homepage.de/Wormbo/) which btw brings back the old UT2003 Instagib sound with it. It also has identical settings as the in game Instagib mutator does.

So what I do now, which is a pain in the butt, but it works, is load the one Instagib Mut for the one game type with Translocator = false ini setting and then load the other Instagib Mut for the other game type an have its Translocator ini file setting set to true. That way I can have Instagib in both game types but not have to have Translocator in both.

Again not the way I wish it was but it works for now at least using the In-Game Mapvoter that is.

Oh and btw i am also using DeadCats (vCTF-TL) Vehicle CTF Translocator Mutator (http://deadcats.teamut.com/index.HTML) so i can have a Translocator in VCTF games should the need arrise.
