This mutator for UT2003 forces all the Human players on to one team and all the Bot players on to another.
Works with Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
Download from my web site:
http://games.discoverthat.co.uk
It's great fun to play with all your friends against the computer.
New Options on the Configure Mutator screen:
You can now configure unequal Human and Bot lives.
Try having lots of Bots with just one life and a few humans with 5 lives and see which team kills the other first.
For my own benefit there is a section to exclude some of the Characters from becoming Bots. This is so that my own team skins do not appear on the Bots team. It will probably be useful to others as well.

Does anyone use the custom bot config tab anymore?

yeah I was just about to say why not just use the bot configuration tab?

The reason I don't use the Custom Bot tab, is because the game still tends to even out the teams, and sometimes puts the human players on opposite teams, despite the prefered team setting for that player. Judging by the favourable resonses, I'm not the only one that fiinds the custom bot tab inefective, for playing human v bots.
On the custom bot tab, the team allocation depends on what order you join the match in.
My mutator forces the teams and lets you always play, for example, two humans against five bots... it's fun, everytime.

Yeah you have to turn off team balance so that the custom bots stay on their set teams.

doesn't matter. the problem is doing addbots commands.
and a note to the creator, please make it so if I do addbots command it adds the bots to the proper team. Thanks :)

My experience is the same as Sir_Brizz, the Balance Teams tick box does not make any difference.
Sometimes, for no explicabale reason, the standard game, balance teams or not, will put humans and bots on unexpected teams.
If Custom Bots works for you, then use it, but for anyone else, who wants to play Human v Bots, please try my mutator.
Given some spare time, I have some plans for additional features, so keep an eye on this thread.
Thanks for all the feedback.

I've been waiting for something like this so me and my wife can team up against the bots.
Thanks for making this.
Hope it works with UT2004.

That's exactly why I wrote it, in my case, my wife, my next door neighbour, and myself.
Hope it works with UT2004.
I intend to make a version for UT2004, unless there's already a suitable coop mode. I'm especially looking forward to the vehicles.

I've posted a new version of my Coop Mission mutator to my web site.
There are also some bug fixes, mainly, the bots now know which team they should be fighting.

pretty cool, would it work with Invasion gametypes? Allowing bots to be on the side of the monsters?

I gave it a try
The bots have their own team, they fight the Humans and the Monsters, but respawn with the players.

Hopefully this isn't too picky or customized but would it be possible to have an 'Include' option? What I mean is so you could pre-configure a team of bots to play against? I like creating the old bot teams from UT (Venom, Raw Steel, Blood Reavers, etc.) and setting our LAN up against the bot teams.
I just downloaded it and might be able to do this anyway but wanted to see how hard it would be. I'd like to run it on a ded server so no one has to be the client/server. Will try this out soon but for now have to run off to the lovely place called work.
I can determine which bots are used on a ded server but not which team they go to. Would it be possible to designate team rosters for a ded server? ... not just players vs. bots but specific bots on the players side to even out the teams when we want even teams?

I have not tried it with a dedicated server, so I can't comment.
I think it would be possible to pre-define a bot team but I am currently busy on something else, so I doubt I'll have a chance to look at it for a couple of months.
I wasn't going to bother to change any of my code, until UT2004 is out and I can see what mods I would like for that.

I agree... don't bust your rump till 2k4 comes out and we can see what it has to offer in customization. I definitely like this mutator though.
Thanks!
