im working on a female soldier model for ut2003 its the first charecter model i have ever made and i learned how to make it in about 5 days thanks to masteringunreal.com (http://www.masteringunreal.com) (those video tutorials are so great). i havent skinned her and its still using the Male_Merc animations witch dont look *TOO* bad. i may or may not make custom animations. also the smoothing groups need work and im still thinking of a name for her...

anyway, here some pics.

also i imported it into unreal already and there is a problem where the gun doesnt show up in her hands. :bulb:

Pretty good for a first character. Needs lots and lots of work on proportion, if you spent 5 days so far you should spend another 5 fixing it up ;)

Arms are too thin/short and lack shape, fingers/thumbs are much too short, boots are too thick and squished in the lower part, upper legs are too thin, lower legs are too thick, legs in general are too long, her pelvis is too thin and too stretched upwards, waist is way too high up, breasts should hang lower and not be squished like that (looks like she's having a mammogram :bulb: ), neck is too long, the connection from neck to head looks a little odd, and the face is... well I won't bother giving crits untill it has smoothing groups. You'll want to consider taking out the eyes/mouth and just skinning those on.

Work on following anatomy refs closely from the very start of your character. It makes life much easier ;)

i fixed this problem now so they dont looks so weird, infact they look quite good even with the male animations but the hands still kinda tweek at times :bulb:

i added elbo pads to the arms so they look MUCH better now and they fit the animation quite nicely. i kinda wanted to make a model without realistic proportions and have more of a cartoony look, thats why the neck is so long and the boots are so big and legs are so long.

but thanks for the feedback
