Oh my Configuration Sucks

May Games Configuration sucks anyone want to HELP out.
Where to begin
I just bought 2K3 last firday night. Its the 1st time I have got a games of its kind... After Setting it up I noticed a couple things still wrong.

1. most of the servers I connect to lag like hell :sour:

2. When moving around on the maps my video jumps or is jurky :mad:

......... I am looking for a better config then the 1 I now have Any ideas........

what internet connection do you have ??

connect only to the servers that ping lowest in the server browser

How do you connect to the internet (Modem....):

In game you could open the console (default key is ~ tilde for us or Ö for german version) and type stat fps to see your framerate and type stat net to see some connection statistics. See if you have packetloss.

Dunno if it helps any as I am no good at stuff like this but if I have any other program running it can cause game to be laggy...... we have a comp on a network and if my daughter gets on the web cam @ the same time it makes it impossible to play, and thats with quite a high spec comp and adsl internet, so me trying to think logically here for some 1 with a low spec comp and other programs running possibly effect it....... excuse me if I am talking **** but worth a try!!!!!!
