I was gonna post about this before i went to work once it was ok'ed to release the link, but didnt have time :D, just waiting for mirrors to appear..i'm off no a scout around now to see if i can find any. For those of you who can't be bothered to click links, here some info.

A little info on the mod if you never heard of it.

- 9 maps all set in the wild west period. Deserts, Mountainous regions, Small Towns, Graveyards, even a River Steamboat!

- 4 pistols, 3 rifles, a sniper rifle, 3 types of shotguns, dynamite, Molotov cocktails, and of course our cannon & Gatling gun!, pistols can also be dual wielded. And to round it out, a bowie knife & a machete, both of which can be thrown! Added all up, it's 22 new ways to kill your opponents.

- 3 gametypes. Lawdogs Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Gold. CTG involves grabbing a gold bag on the map and hiding it from the other team as long as possible (your team gains points as the gold is held). Our DM modes are also unique. We have a medical box to heal you and (some) pickups that explode if hit. This makes for some fun tactical play.

- Complete HUD overhaul, 90% custom textures, new sounds, new taunts, new players, custom meshes, new music; the whole package.

This release will serve to help us find serious bugs and get a general idea of what you guys like and don't like, if you got any questions or bug reports, feel free to post them on the forum (link on main site).

Unfortunately FilePlanet is the only convenient place to upload huge files with enough download bandwidth to serve everyone for free. I expect it will get mirrored in other places eventually though.

Nice mod.
I had a lot of fun trying the 'CTG'-gametype offline :)

I did miss some kind of healing though. Or at least there was nothing that looked like health on the few maps that seemed to be made for this gametype (I forgot the names, but both of them featured some kind of 'arena-style' layout).

I couldn't find the custom-taunts at first, however later I noticed they were after a dozen or so 'empty' taunts in the list.

I noticed the 'learning AI' for your mod in the 'manual'.
What range of values would be appropiate for the 'AISpeed'-property ?

on the healing..there is medical box in some of the maps..in tombstone it's on the floor in the central gazebo type thingy..can't remeber exactly where the others are..Doesn't heal all your health by design..they are in the majority of the maps..just gotta find them :)

We're still in the process of adding taunts, so they are a bit of a mess at the moment.

Any value between 0 and 1 should work fine for AISpeed. You'll have to test to see exactly how well higher values work. It's mostly for debugging really. I've attached some info which you may find useful in tweaking the AI:

You can watch the bots learning process in-game by spectating a bot and typing showdebug at the console. The relevant information is displayed in the few white lines above the red weapon information at the bottom. The following information is displayed (values will generally be between -1 and +1, with 0 being the default starting value for a newborn bot):

Bot is in training: If this line appears, then 'bTrainAI' has been set to true and this bot will choose its weapons randomly.
RangeRating: How good the bot thinks the current weapon is at various ranges. The first number represents up to 100 units, the second 200 units, then 400, 800, 1600 etc. A high number indicates the weapon is good, a low number indicates the weapon is bad (note that the more skilled bots will tend to have higher numbers overall - it's the difference between numbers that counts). The current range is highlighted in red. Ideally the numbers should form a smooth curve, with a peak at the optimum range for the weapon.
AttackStyle: How aggressive the bot thinks it should be with this weapon. Higher means the bot wants to charge, lower means the bot wants to keep its distance.
DefenceStyle vs (enemy's weapon): How aggressive the bot thinks it should be against the weapon its enemy is holding. The overall aggression is the sum of the attack and defence styles (plus the predefined style of the bot from the character upl file).
Rating vs (enemy's weapon): How good the bot thinks its current weapon is against the weapon held by its enemy. A high number means the bot believes its current weapon to be a good choice, a low number means it doesn't think it is going to do very well.
It is also possible to configure a few properties for individual bots in the LDBotAI.ini file. Each bot has its own section by name, with the following configurable properties:

bLearn: Has the same effect as the global setting 'bDynamicAI'
bRemember: Has the same effect as the global setting 'bSaveAI'
bTraining: Has the same effect as the global setting 'bTrainAI'
The rest of the data in the ini file are the bots raw memories and should not be altered.

If you want to watch the complete learning experience, simply delete the ini file and all bots will revert to n00b status. It takes many hours of fragging for the bots to become competent. Until then, the bots will be quite thick, and may behave very strangely. You should set 'bTrainAI' to true when doing this so that the bots can learn as efficiently as possible.

Well, I a 100mb email (cannon@ut2003hq.com) over at UT2003HQ.com (http://www.ut2003hq.com) if you are able to email.

Other than that, over on FasterFiles.com (http://www.fasterfiles.com) they have an unlimited upload, but I'm not sure if they have corrected the problems with it.

As always, just in case I miss a new thread here (I am a lurker master, I don't miss many) someone can always contact me by my instant messengers listed in my profile. If I am at work or something, I always respond as soon as I get home.

Hope this helps.

And I'll get this up on both my sites today sometime and come back here and post links if that would help!

No shortcut command needed. Start normal UT2003 and select one of our gametypes from the list (LawDogs DM, LawDogs TDM, Catch the Gold).

Maybe the file association for ut2mods isn't correct on that machine? There's a program, which I think is called 'ut2k3regcheck' which can fix things like that.

I was lucky to find an Icelandic website with the BP, but I will not be as lucky with mods, maps, mutators e.t.c.

Go to UT2003HQ.com (http://www.ut2003hq.com) only stop you need to make. We have all kinds of files, not like most sites than only have skins or maps.

Check us out!

Thereīs no doubt that UT2003HQ is the best UT2003 website, but itīs not Icelandic so I can only download files until I reach the number of 100 Mbs. *cries*

I can buy 5 Gbs max but even Bill Gates wouldnīt buy that if you see the price.

I'm sorry to hear that man. Hope you can get those files somehow.

What a coincidence, one of my staffers is from Iceland as well, his name is Xeno.

I have been playing the heck out of this, and I love this mod. Hope to see more maps n stuff, but I think that some of the maps could use a bit more ammo.

Though I do like throwing bowie knives.......:D

I realy love this mod. At first i rated it at the same level as "Face Off", but now I think I even enjoy it more than FO! About time we saw a good old cowboy mod, but where are the indians?

One thing I would have changed though is the player names which I think is to dominating in the middle of the screen. I know they are placed there in the original UT2003 too but the player-names are smaller. Could they be placed down i the middle of the screen instead of central maybe? It would create a better view.

Magnificent mod!
