here's the biggest problem with console's

you are pretty much limited to one controller option.

when will the console's give us a choice?

thats one of the only reasons stopping pcgamers[and me] from going to console's.

before you say theres nothing wrong with consoles.i did my own experiment and played quake3 Dreamcast players on Dreamcast Servers with my pc and it was just pitifull.

I agree on one hand but it takes time to create differnet controllers and really the xbox 360 controller is pro, well designed and feels great in your hands. Mouse and keyboards are also almost all alike... very similar to Controllers... 3rd parties always create controllers which are like what Mouses and keyboards are... just different ones. But in the case of consoles, they got one good one and whole bunch of mediocore accessories.

i had a 28.8 modem connect in those days and owned them[i have no q3 skills]i was just able to look with mouse better than them.played for about 2 weeks and finally realized there was no hope.they were limited by there controller.

I think your testing the wrong console and game, Dreamcast with quake 3... duh! Lots of games do have a choice to choose its just they dont allow freedom to choose which button does what. But if the controls are already solid, whats the point of changing them so fiercly. By the way, this is the reason you arent going to a console? You missed out on alot of good stuff man! :)

i don't get it, you don't like consoles because there is just one type of controller? do you have numerous keyboards or something that you change depending on what game you're playing? all this is is a keyboard/mouse vs. controller arguement, which is basically a console vs. pc rant which is WAAAAAY over done...

i for one prefer using controllers. i don't like haveing to move all my fingers around with one hand while i just move the other hand around and click a couple buttons. all i use with controllers is my pointers and thumbs and i don't have to move my hands around, plus i'm not sitting in a certain chair hunched over a desk everytime i wanna play a game.

Halo 2, ninja Gaiden series, tony hawk series, forza or better yet any racing game (racing games suck on PC's)many NBA, NHL,NFL or sports games, Psychonauts, dead or alive series or most fighting games, SSX tricky or any SSX,Prince of Persia (dont knw if its on the PC), Onimusha, splinter cell sucks on the PC, thats just a few xbox games (all i can remember right now) now list the PC games.
