i have a couple of questions, they may be answers SOMEWHERE on the forum, but I'll be damned backwards (twice) beofre I search the thing!!
1. Will 2k4 be able to use 2k3 maps / mods etc?
2. are there going to be any further "bonus" packs for 2k3? It would be nice if there could be more teams for CTF and TDM etc
3. Will this require a monster system, or will a pc that runs 2k3 happily be enough?
4. Who really cares if a monkey eats it's mate's fleas?
5. Any sign of 2k4 demo?
Any answers would be apprecisted

Yes, 2k4 will be backwards compatible with 2k3, that's why 2k3 owners won't have to install the "full" version of 2k4.
2. are there going to be any further "bonus" packs for 2k3? It would be nice if there could be more teams for CTF and TDM etc
I'm fairly sure there won't be. I believe the only thing Epic's working on right now is 2k4 and related stuff.
3. Will this require a monster system, or will a pc that runs 2k3 happily be enough?
According to Epic, 2k4 will "run on more computers than 2k3 did," so if you're running 2k3 ok, you'll run 2k4 ok as well.
4. Who really cares if a monkey eats it's mate's fleas?
Not me.
5. Any sign of 2k4 demo?
Dear God, I hope so.

UT2K4 is basically built "on-top" of UT2K3, so the answer is yes. Everything from UT2K3 will be in UT2K4. If you already have UT2K3, it should allow you to install to your previous UT2K3 folder instead of making another separate stand-alone one, as if it were an expansion pack.
2. are there going to be any further "bonus" packs for 2k3? It would be nice if there could be more teams for CTF and TDM etc
The most likely answer is that there will only be future 2K4 bonus packs.
3. Will this require a monster system, or will a pc that runs 2k3 happily be enough?
The requirements are the same, so if your computer could run UT2K3, it will be able to run 2K4.

i wonder if epic would consider selling an "upgrade" from 2k3 to 2k4?
People can register their 2k3 serial number and get 2k4 for half price? Only valid cd keys will be registered and I'd rather only pay 15 uk pounds, rather then 35 for software I "already have"
Just an idea. Doubt they will as they won't make as much money :( shame really because unless 2k4 is very different to 2k3 i don't think i'll be splashing out - just yet. Cheap upgrade for registered 2k3 users, they'll have my cash N.P.

There is supposed to be a rebate for UT2k3 owners who buy UT2k4...
... at least that is the rumour. We were supposed to find out officially last friday, but the press release was delayed. The European Atari has some different regulations to deal with so we're not sure if the rebate thing will be US only, or North America, or global or something else altogether.

a 2k4 expansion pack and full version would be great. i have the sims and all the expansion packs for that ... i'm not bothered for a "rebate" or whatever.
i have the original game and the expansion pack(s) could request the original cd to check authenticity etc?
oh well, i guess it's up to the "powers that be" to decide.
It would be nice to do what customers want for a change ...

1. Yes, this was confirmed since day one.
2. I'm 99.99% sure there won't be any more 2003 bonus pack, in a way, UT2004 is a HUGE bonus pack, so might as well buy that.
3. It's been said that UT2004 will actually run on MORE computers than UT2003.
4. :weird:
5. SHOULD be out within this month of October, not sure when.
EDIT: I can't believe people actually have fun playing the Sims. That's just my opinion though.
