Damn im just so ****ing tired of thoose lamers who only complain on epic for ut2k3 dont is the same as ut99 how many times havent we read the same thing on this forum. the solution is simple if you dont like ut2k3 so dont play it . play ut99 instead then . can it be simplyer???? who the hell want a game look exacly the same as the game before? Epic have done a great job whit ut2k3 to bad it is so many who only complain over it. post like (Epic pls give us a better game) wtf is that? Do you seriously think a company want stay on same level year after year? if you think that way so have you some serious issues to deal whit. A company want to move forward whit new stuff . and if you dont like it so stick whit ut99 instead. Im just so tired of all thoose threads.

Ppl are happy enuff with the gfx, its the gameplay that ppl want to be like UT.

nb - ppl who say UT99 / UT1 should be rounded up and shot.

Nobody wants UT2003 to be changed. But everybody has their own ideas about what could make UT2004 fun. Make it like UT1, make it like UT2003, make it totally different, anything goes. And everybody has the right to vent their opinion.

Now this is how I had liked to see the Unreal series evolve.

1) every new game must have better graphics than the previous one. this enhances immersion.
2) new handy features, which are not directly gameplay related. buddy search, voicecom, demorec, utv, etc. there must be zillions we can come up with.
3) new gamemodes. BR, ONS, deathball, lots of fun to be had
4) IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT ! In UT1, CTF was pretty darn good. why change it so much ? Put all the improvements in the new stuff (BR, ONS, vehicles, etc), but make sure the fanastic gameplay of CTF stays. This is where Epic's failure was. This is where they underestimated the popularity of their old game.
5) more maps, more models, more skins, more, more taunts, etc. make the game more diverse. And especially, more maps, more maps, more maps. New maps can give refreshing new gameplay, even when weaponbalance and movement are hardly changed.

This way, everybody would have been happy. Boring old conservatives can play their old TDM and CTF, and more progressive people can play all the new stuff, DDOM, ONS, BR, vehicles, etc. We don't want to take away UT2003 from you, but we also don't want to lose the game that gave us so much fun in 1999-2002.

OK, OK. I used to say UT, but that did confuse some people. I also tried using UT99, but that's not really correct either (UT2003 was released in 2002. UT was released in 1999, so if you want to give it a yearnumber, it could be called UT2000). So what should I do ??? :bulb: ??? I am only an egg .....

So, right. I actually prefer it when people call UT1 UT1. Why? Because if you adhere to the reason for calling it UT instead of UT1, you should refer to Unreal as U. And that's just silly. I've never seen anybody refer to the first game in a series that way. (though even when saying Unreal or U1 there are still people that think you're talking about UT1 :eek:)

Also, I refer to UT2k3 as UT or UT2 a lot too, simply because it's shorter, and people know what I'm talking about anyway. :)

(yes, this was way OT, but then again, there's not much to be said in this thread anyway :p)
