Feature Requests for UT2004, upcoming Patches or Bonus Packs:
- Multi-Gametype-Maplist: I donīt Understand, why you can only set Maps for one Gametype in the List. If someone wants to switsch between Gametypes, he must start a new game. It would be easier to make Multi-Gametype Tournaments (e.g. 10xDM, 5xTDM, 5xCTF, 3xAS) if the Maplist would allow to enqueue Maps of different Types. It also would prevent that everybody always play standard Gametypes (DM, CTF) and would support the vaierty of Gametypes in UT2004. The Settings are of course taken from the menu of the used gametype, not the active one. It means, no DM rules for CTF, when you start a DM-Game and switch to CTF by map change.
Another Problem with the Maplist is, if you remove a map from the right, it is enqueued on the left list. with hundreds of maps you will lose your overview. Please Integrate a "Sort-by-Name"-Button.
- Executeable Config-Files: If there would be an option, to save a Game Configuration as File, it would be very nice. Youi could make easy accessable Files for several prefered Configs of each Gametype. Clan or Contest Settings could be prepared or the File could be copied to another Game-Server if one doesnīt work the way it should.
- More In-Game Menu Options: Like in Quake 3 Arena, there coulb e an option to add and remove Bots in the game or change difficulty. It would be also a good Idea, to make a map selection menu, to change map quickly, without console command (means, you neednīt memorize all mapnames). A simple Button ( and afaik new console command, because there is no such) to change to the next map in order of the maplist would be cool.
- Better Skin/Model-Support: I donīt know if it is possible, but a server option, to allow custom skins would make more individual looks. I mean, the server could upload the skin, used by a player, and forces others to download them while playing. of course everyone can turn it of, but that means, that he sees the player in the default skin, which is chosen secondary by him (and can be any Skin in the original UT2004 (not only one for a class like in the ut2003.ini-command).
Another Important Thing: Please Make the Voice Pack seperately selectable, like in the old UT.
- Servers with Custom Maps and Mutators: If a Server runs with a Mutator, you donīt have, you should have three options when you log in: "Download and Play", "Hide Server" and "Create Log File" (with a List of Missing Files, to download manually). If there is a Map, wich is not in your UT2004-Folder, it is the same. But isstead of "Hide Server", there is the Option "Pause Game" (untli the next map wich is installed).
- Weapon Change Mutator: I see, UT2004 has much new Weapons (even a Sniper Rifle, i believe (and hope) to see on the new screenshots), If you integrate something like WORM, it would be a good improvement. Later you could add more Weapons in a Bonus Pack. Flame Thrower, Turrets and Laser Fences from Unreal 2 would be good additions :). A comeback for the Ripper would be nice, too. Another Idea: A vehicle-only-damaging EMP-Gun.
A Dual Weapons Akimbo could also be a good idea.
- Adrenaline Move-Hotkeys: The worst Feature of UT2003 was that Turbo, Booster, ... where only acessable by intensive Key Hacking (Physically, im mean :D). In the Jedi Knight series for example, the Force powers work very well. The Key Combos shout be movement only.
I also think, Booster is too strong and Invisibility too useless. Instead there should be e.g Damage Reducer and Ammo Recharger. New Adrenaline Specials could be: Vampire, 6th Sense Vision, Kamikaze, Jump Boots and Amphibious.
- Improved Invasion-Gametype: One stupid thing about Invasion is the Wave Configuration. It would be better to specify directly the amount of each Monster Type in a Wave. And there should be distinquished between Waves 1-9 and Final Wave. Because the first 9 Waves should be repeated, until timeout, then the final wave should come. Invasion should be playable as Invasion Assault in Assault Maps: Defiance is won on timeout and after defeating the final wave. Attacking means to fight waves until all Objectives are completed, and then also fight the final wave.
New Monsters are also not wrong: Titan, Queen (you have forgotten them in the Bonus Pack), Izaarian and other U2-Monsters. The other Monsters could need HighRes Textures.

- DM-Ariza2003
- DM-Tundra2003 (with extra big outdoor landscape)
- DM-HallofGiants2003 (With Industrial look, no egiptian, no forrest)
- DM-KGalleon2003
- DM-Turbine2003
- DM-HyperBlast2003
- DM-Morpheus2003, DM-Deck16-2003 and DM-Liandri2003 and other Fan-Remakes could be officially included in UT2004
